Dots are typically caused by foreign material inside the machine (for example paper dust, glue from labels or envelopes, paper clips, staples) sticking to or damaging the surface of the drum. Toner builds up on or sticks to these areas on the drum and creates black dots on the printed pages.
From the Home screen on the printer control panel, swipe right to navigate, and then touch Reports. From the Reports menu, touch Configuration/Status Pages. Select the Configuration Page item, and then touch the Print button to print the Configuration pages.

Smears and smudges on the paper can be caused by dirt, dust, or toner accumulated on the rollers or transfer belt as it passes through the paper. Cleaning your printer, particularly the rollers, is one of the options for removing black markings from paper.
What`s happening is that the drum or rollers could have a fingerprint or dirt that is smudging the toner on the page as it passes through to the fuser. It is normally caused by the rollers. If the marks are always in different places, then it`s most likely to be the drum.
Open Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
Change the page orientation for a document
Go to Layout > Orientation, and then select Landscape. Go to File > Print.
Printer device settings involve information about the printers, such as its name, whether or not it`s the default printer, and what drivers it`s using. Unlike printing preferences, which only affect the computer, some of the printer`s device settings, like its name, will be visible across the network.
Most printers with a touchscreen display or menu: Open the Wireless Summary or Network Settings menu to find the IP address. Printers without a touchscreen display or menu: Print an Information page or Wireless Network report using the button press combination for your printer. The IP address is on the printout.
Printers may produce poor quality printing if they are exposed to too much heat. Don`t place your printers in a high-temperature area or near other devices that produce excess heat. In addition, keep them away from windows, where heat and humidity can be high.

Sometimes light print can be remedied by simply changing the toner darkness setting in the printer. To change the setting, go to MENU>>SETTINGS>>QUALITY MENU>>TONER DARKNESS. Increase the darkness and send a test print to see if that fixes the issue.
Increase Print Density For Windows
Navigate to Settings > Printers and scanners > Devices in the left-hand menu. Choose your printer from the list of options and click Manage. A dialog box will pop up. Switch to Device Settings, and increase the print density from 1-5 as you wish to darken the text.
