An ethernet printer connects to your local network via network cables, not wireless. Wireless printers offer Wi-Fi printing, but modern models also print via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi direct.
An Ethernet network can be used for one or more computers and supports many printers and systems simultaneously. An Ethernet connection is typically faster than USB and allows you direct access to the settings of the printer using the Embedded Web Server.
Check the Ethernet cable connection at the network port, hub, switch, or router. Disconnect and reconnect the cable and make sure it it securely connected. If connecting to a hub, switch, or router, make sure both the printer and computer are not plugged into the Uplink port.
Although the printer can be used in a both wired and wireless network, only one of the connection methods can be used at a time. When the wireless setting is enabled, the wired (Ethernet) setting is disabled. When the wired (Ethernet) setting is enabled, the wireless setting is disabled.

Turn the printer off, wait 20 seconds and turn it back on again. Both USB and Wi-Fi connected printers require the correct and current printer driver is installed on the computer you`re printing from. Go to Xerox support, search for your printer and download the latest driver for your printer model.
By connecting a printer via wired LAN, you can share the printer over a faster and more stable connection than Wi-Fi. You will also have less chance of having problems such as being disconnected from the network while printing.
If you have multiple Square systems, you are better off using ethernet printers. USB printers are only accessible to the system it is plugged into. USB can be a lot more reliable than Ethernet though since it`s directly connected.
Yes. However, the product does not support a wireless and an Ethernet connection at the same time. To set up both a USB and network connection, you must install the product`s software twice (i.e., once for each connection type).
To test your Ethernet cable, start by plugging it in and waiting for a sign of connectivity. Most devices will have a light that comes on when the ethernet cable is plugged in and will show green for a good connection and yellow or red for a bad one.

The simplest method to connect two computer systems without using the internet is through an ethernet cable. Once the connection is established the two systems can share files between them and also view and edit those files.
Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners. Under Add printers & scanners, select Add a printer or scanner. Choose the printer you want, and then select Add Device.

The Internet Protocol (IP) Mode tells your router what IP version your local network is using in comparison to what version the Wide Area Network (WAN) uses.
Automatic Private IP Addressing, also known as APIPA or Auto IP, is a method of automatically assigning IP addresses to networked computers and printers. A networked device configured to use Auto IP first makes a request to a DHCP server for an address.
Make sure that both ends of the USB cable are correctly inserted into the computer and the printer. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable at both ends. Disconnect the printer and the computer and reconnect them. Try another USB port if available.
For a printer connected to the computer via USB, the Port should be set to USB Virtual Printer Port (such as USB001, USB002). For a printer connected to the computer via Parallel, the Port should be set to LPT1 (or LPT2, LPT3 if you have more than one Parallel interface port on your computer).
An incompatible driver or corrupt file may be the reason you experience the Driver Unavailable error. Luckily, this is easy to fix if you take a methodical approach. All you need to do is check for any Windows updates and then install the latest driver for your printer.

Printhead Tilt Fault Error, Xerox 8870 Colorqube
ANSWER : The 8870 I had which had a 97,721.00 error ended up being a split\cracked gear on the shaft that engages the maintenance kit, the :9875 is the printer page count. You can try to rehome the process drive but I would check and see if there is a split gear (where it mounts on shaft) first because the shaft will spin but the gear won’t engage if it’s cracked or split so it throws an error.
