Make sure your paper meets the specifications for your product. If paper dust builds up on the rollers, they may lose traction and become unable to feed paper properly. Clean the paper guide. If roll paper does not feed, cut the end straight across and uncurl it by rolling it backward, if necessary.
The photo tray is overloaded. The paper is curled. The print side, or shiny side, of the paper is not loaded in the tray face down. The paper width guide is too tight against the paper stack.
Open the rear paper feed slot and extend the paper support. Slide the edge guide left. Insert paper, glossy or printable side up and short edge first, against the right side and behind the tab. If you are inserting a stack of paper, fan the sheets first and tap the stack on a flat surface to even the edges.
The common reasons for this issue are various, for instance, the paper input tray is overloaded, dust or moisture can affect the paper feed or paper pick rollers, the printer driver is old, etc. Thus, the printer cannot detect the paper that has been inserted into the tray.
As a rule of thumb, to achieve photo quality print, you will need to use an image resolution of 300 pixels per inch. We write this as 300 DPI and means that in each inch of your print there will be 300 pixels.
Load the paper stack WITH THE PRINT SIDE FACING DOWN, and place it in the center of the cassette 1. Always load paper in the portrait orientation (C). Loading paper in the landscape orientation (D) can cause paper jams.
Make sure the paper stack is not above the tab on the edge guides inside the cassette or rear feed slot. If paper does not feed from the rear feed slot, try cleaning the paper guide using an Epson cleaning sheet. Be sure to insert the paper cassette all the way into your product.

Remove any loose paper or other obstructions in the gap. If any paper is jammed inside the gap, grasp the paper with both hands, and then pull the paper slowly but firmly toward you to remove it. Gently remove any jammed paper and bits of torn paper.

This issue is common when using paper that exceeds the recommended thickness for the machine. To correct the feeding issue, add more paper to the paper tray.
Several factors may cause the product to print blank pages, such as print settings, low ink, or the product itself. Check the following: Make sure the product is placed on a flat, stable surface that extends beyond the base in all directions. The product won`t operate properly if it`s tilted or at an angle.
You can achieve good results with most types of plain bond paper. However, coated paper and glossy film result in higher quality printouts because these media absorb smaller amounts of ink. EPSON sells special media that are formulated for the ink used in EPSON ink jet printers.
Professional/online printing

Kodak suggests these resolution/file sizes: For a 4″ x 6″ print, the image resolution should be 640 x 480 pixels minimum. For a 5″ x 7″ print, the image resolution should be 1024 x 768 pixels minimum. For an 8″ x 10″ print, the image resolution should be 1536 x 1024 pixels minimum.

Know Your Printer Settings

To access it on your laptop, navigate to File > Print with your mouse or type CTRL + P on your keyboard, then select “Printer Properties”. Here you will find a “Photo Printing” option, plus a number of other customizable features like borderless printing, media type and paper size.

regular 8.5×11-inch printer that puts the emphasis on photo quality rather than document output, the Epson XP-8600 is an excellent choice.
What copy paper is to text-based documents, photo paper is to photographs and images. Photo paper is glossy paper with an extra coating, which absorbs printer and copier ink better and dries faster.
When photographic paper is exposed to light, it captures a latent image that is then developed to form a visible image; with most papers the image density from exposure can be sufficient to not require further development, aside from fixing and clearing, though latent exposure is also usually present.
Make sure the paper size selected in the printer software matches the paper size selected on the printer`s control panel. To verify the paper size on the printer`s control panel press, Home if necessary, then select Setup > Paper Setup. If this does not resolve the issue, contact Epson.
A clog inside your Epson printer can sometimes trigger the device to send out a wrong “out of paper” warning. But aside from that, it can also cause paper jams as well as more severe internal damages. Thus, it`s essential to examine your printer for signs of foreign material or debris on its rollers.

Paper feeds straight through without printing on an Epson R2400
ANSWER : I was able to get it to print the internal test page by holding down the sheet paper feed button while turning the machine on — then continuing to hold the sheet paper feed button. It took several attempts, feeding a page straight through, but eventually it caught the sheet and printed. So it may be a timing issue as others have mentioned. It could still mean that the feed rollers are worn out. The back side of the large D-shaped feed roller has visible abrasion on it. The abrasion is difficult to see as the roller does not stay with the flat side exposed.

paper drive wont accept paper
ANSWER : There is probably a small scrap of paper stuck at the left edge of the paper path. The paper hits it and skews to the left. The smaller size bypasses it. You need to shove something stiff, like a piece of file folder, down the paper path and attempt to dislodge it.
