The print head nozzles may be clogged. Perform a nozzle check to see if the print head nozzles are clogged. Perform a nozzle check, and then clean the print head if any of the print head nozzles are clogged.
Make sure the Black/Grayscale or Grayscale setting is not selected in your printer software. Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary. The ink cartridges may be old or low on ink, and you may need to replace them.
Why is my Epson printer skipping lines when printing? Apart from a clogged printhead, one other potential culprit is the electronic connection of your cartridges with your printer. Try removing your cartridges from your printer, and then shutting your printer down.
Clean the print head, if necessary. Make sure the paper size, orientation, and layout settings in your printer software are correct. Make sure your document does not contain blank pages. If your printer software has a Preview option, you can check for blank pages before you print and remove them, if necessary.
Check you have the latest drivers installed for your printer, try uninstalling and reinstalling your printer drivers or try changing the driver settings (adjusting the paper settings has been known to solve the problem). Fully Reconfigure the Printer – If all else fails, you can try entirely reconfiguring your printer.
The most common cause for the black ink not transferring as a good, rich black is the type of paper being used. Sawgrass Systems continually performs extensive testing on all brands of ink jet paper available on the market today.
If you`ve had your printer for a while and your print is still not bright or vibrant, it`s probably your time, temperature, or pressure. You need all three in order to sublimate on something – you need the correct time, the correct temperature, and the correct pressure.
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
Several factors may cause the product to print blank pages, such as print settings, low ink, or the product itself. Check the following: Make sure the product is placed on a flat, stable surface that extends beyond the base in all directions. The product won`t operate properly if it`s tilted or at an angle.
In four-color press printing, black is achieved by mixing cyan, magenta and yellow and then adding black ink on top of that. The result is a rich, deep black color.
A common cause of faded, faint printouts from your inkjet printer is dried ink particles causing a blockage in your printer. The printheads on an ink cartridge can be become blocked if the printer is not used for a period of time, so it is recommended to print a few pages each month to maintain the print quality.
Even when you are printing black text only, a small amount of color ink is used to keep the print head charged. The print head needs to be kept charged to prevent air bubbles from entering and damaging the print head.
While it`s not possible to sublimate dark colors directly, with a Silhouette CAMEO, Sawgrass Sublimation Printer, and white glitter HTV you can make it work!
If you`re looking for a black color that`s dark and intense, consider using a rich formula known as C 60 M 40 Y 40 K 100. The mixture referred to as rich black involves the popular CMYK colors: cyan, magenta, yellow and black. When you think about it, there`s no such thing as the ultimate black ink.
Image fading is usually caused by too much time and temperature, and/or pressure. We suggest double-checking the recommended settings from the company where you purchased your sublimation blanks. Every heat press is different, which is something to bear in mind.
Assuming you aren`t out of any ink, the reason your teal prints as blue on an Epson F570 or Epson F170 sublimation printer is likely because you are using the wrong print profile. To print with the most accurate colors, print through the Epson Print Manager and select the correct color profile.
Do not overheat the substrate! Applying a sublimated transfer to a hot surface will start the gassing process prematurely, which may lead to ghosting.
Press and hold down the Cancel button for 3 seconds. When the message to reset the printer to default settings appears, press OK to reset the print settings. Note: This reset does not affect LCD contrast, Print Confirmation, or PictureMate Print Wizard settings.
If your HP printer not printing black ink correctly, here`s what you should do. Using non-genuine ink cartridges. Printheads that have become clogged. Ink cartridges that are defective or empty.
There are numerous possible causes for a printer that`s randomly producing blanks. The most common ones are empty ink cartridges, improper cartridge installation, and congested nozzles. Driver and software issues can sometimes cause this problem as well.
Using blacks in printing

Regular black has CMYK values of: C = 0, M = 0, Y = 0, K = 100. Rich black uses CMYK values of: C = 60, M = 60, Y = 60, K = 100.

For the best possible results, we recommend a rich black value of C60, M40, Y40, K100 for all printed products. C0, M0, Y0, K100 will usually result in a very dark gray, but not a rich black.
What is the blackest black in CMYK? The blackest black is C-75 M-68 Y-67 K-90. This can be accomplished by simply dragging the color picker all the way to the bottom left, but you can also enter the values manually to ensure that you`re using a true black.
