How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?
Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced technical support :
A damaged or worn OPC may cause toner powder unable to adhere to magnetic roller correctly, hence, toner powder may fall on the print-out and causing background issues.
If you have a gray background when printing, verify the paper you are using meets the recommended paper specifications and check the printer`s environment. Also, cleaning the laser glass, cleaning the drum and corona wire or replacing the toner may resolve this problem.
Low ink or toner levels. Toner sticking to the fuser roller or problems with the transfer roller. Low ink or toner density settings. Low or high humidity.
If you`ve added a background color or image to your document and you want to print it like that, be sure that the following setting is on: Go to File > Options. Select Display. Under Printing Options select Print background colors and images.
Select Print Settings from the printer options pop-up menu. Select the Grayscale checkbox. Click Print.
Many people assume that when a printer prints something in black and white, it doesn`t use the color cartridge. But with grayscale setting printing, the printer uses color ink or toner cartridges in combination with black to produce different shades of gray.
Dirty printheads Dirty nozzles, leftover toner, debris, or dust can interfere with your printer and cause ghosting. Run the printer`s built-in cleaning function multiple times, and print a test page between each. Repeat this process until the ghosting issue disappears.
Check the ink levels Sometimes, the printer may not print black ink because it is low or empty. You can check the ink levels on the printer`s display, or by using the software that came with your printer. If the ink level is low, replace the cartridge or refill it according to the manufacturer`s instructions.
The ink levels may be low and you may need to refill the ink. Visually check the ink levels. Also make sure you filled the tanks with the correct colors of ink. After you print, the colors in your printout need time to set as the ink dries.
