Color Matching Settings

EPSON Color Controls. Lets you manage color using controls in your printer software, or turn off color management.

EPSON Standard (sRGB) Increases the contrast in images. Click the Advanced button to use advanced color controls. Adobe RGB. Matches image colors to the Adobe RGB color standard.
At the Windows Manage your device screen, click Printer properties. Click Preferences. From the Color Mode dropdown, choose either Color or Black and White.
All cartridges must be installed with ink for printing and printer maintenance. For print quality, some ink remains in replaced cartridges. Designed for EPSON cartridges only: Other brands of ink supplies are not compatible and, if described as compatible, may not function properly or continuously.
In short, no! Printers need specific cartridges to work, which is why we have clear listings across the website for what ink works in any printer. You cannot just use any model/brand cartridge in a printer, even if they look the same.
CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black) is the colour space for printed materials, so you should be using the CMYK colour profile for any design that will be physically printed.
However, sRGB encompasses only 35% of all visible colors. While it produces more colors than any CMYK color space, it has one of the narrowest gamuts in the RGB color model, but still broad enough for printing.
CMYK color space is used for print, (s)RGB is used for screens (web, monitors, tvs etc). If one were to open a CMYK document in a viewer/program that doesn`t support the color profile (which is not uncommon, since CMYK isn`t as widely supported as RBG) the colors would appear to be extremely over-saturated.
Make sure the Black/Grayscale or Grayscale setting is not selected in your printer software. Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary. The ink levels may be low and you may need to refill the ink.
CMYK (Process or Full Color)

CMYK color code is also used for printing. This color type is achieved by superimposing a series of dots in the four colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, & blacK) to produce various color results. CMYK is mainly used in most print industries, our stickers are printed using CMYK as well.

Clean the printheads: Sometimes the issue why you are unable to print in color is because our printheads are clogged with ink. Clean the printheads and then print a document to check if color printing works. Some printers also have in-built programs that can clean themselves so remember to check for that.

Epson ink cartridge leaking?
ANSWER : Posting this cause it worked for me. I have an Artisan 837 that was leaving pools of blue on the page. I tried Epson’s recommendation of cleaning the print path by pressing the copy button on the control panel (with nothing on the flatbed). Printed 5 pages and the last 2 were clean. Did a test print and the problem was back. Repeated a few times with the problem reocccuring. Switched out the cartridge. no better and now the printer doesn’t recognize its own brand cartridge. Yet, it accepts the 3rd party one.
