Select Print Settings from the pop-up menu. On the Basic tab, select the type of color correction from Color Settings.

Click Advanced, then click More Settings. The following dialog box appears. Choose Color or Black as the Color setting. Choose desired printing resolution from Fast (300 dpi) or Fine (600 dpi).

There may be several reasons behind the issue, such as empty ink cartridges, Clogged Print Head Nozzles, and Incorrect Print Settings. There may be a fault in the settings of Color Management as well. You can fix it via Running a Nozzle Check or enabling the Print Settings to Color or Replacing the Ink Cartridges.

When designing for a printed format, the best color profile to use is CMYK, which uses the base colors of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (or Black). These colors are usually expressed as percentages of each base color, for example a deep plum color would be expressed like this: C=74 M=89 Y=27 K=13.

If your Epson printer is printing out faint images, skipping lines, or is streaking your image with lines, chances are you have a clogged nozzle–a common problem many users have with Epson printers. It`s unavoidable that print heads clog over time as small amounts of ink residue dry up and collect in the nozzles.

Low ink or toner levels. Toner sticking to the fuser roller or problems with the transfer roller. Low ink or toner density settings. Low or high humidity.

Clean the printheads: Sometimes the issue why you are unable to print in color is because our printheads are clogged with ink. Clean the printheads and then print a document to check if color printing works. Some printers also have in-built programs that can clean themselves so remember to check for that.

Epson printers contain a permanent print head that needs to be charged with all colors to work. Even when you are printing black text only, a small amount of color ink is used to keep the print head charged.

Auto. The machine automatically detects whether each original is color or black & white and switches the mode appropriately (full color for a color original or black & white for a black & white original).

These four colors are Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black– which are known collectively as CMYK. In fact, 4-Color Process printing is frequently referred to as CMYK printing. It is also known as Four Color Printing, 4CP, Full Color Printing, or simply Process Printing.

The most brilliant colors achievable using CMYK are solids. First, 100% of cyan, magenta, and yellow will appear as the most colorful colors available in print. Again, these colors will not come out as bright as they appear onscreen.

As we previously mentioned, color printer ink cartridges rely on four colors: black, magenta, cyan, and yellow. These color values can be combined to create every other color when reproducing an image.

Scanners, digital cameras and computer monitors use red, green and blue (RGB) light to display color. Commercial printing presses print with cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK) ink, called process printing, instead of RGB light, and therefore produce a different range of color.

Of the three composite colors in computer printers, red colors tend to be used most. Red printouts use the magenta ink in your toner cartridges. Since red tends to be used frequently, your cyan and yellow ink will often be least used.

Epson printers function very well at 1440 dpi, and in general this should be the default setting.

If you want to show off bold, bright images or photographs to an important client, 1200 DPI is your best option. Professional photographers may need resolutions as high as 2880 by 1440 DPI or even more. This insight also applies to paper. Your choice of paper significantly increases the quality of your prints.

As a rule of thumb, to achieve photo quality print, you will need to use an image resolution of 300 pixels per inch. We write this as 300 DPI and means that in each inch of your print there will be 300 pixels.

If you notice that your print quality is uneven, too light, too dark, or there are vertical or horizontal lines in the print (banding), try these solutions: Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary. Align the print head.

Select Start > Settings . Go to Devices > Printers & scanners > select a printer > Manage.

If documents that you have scanned are printing with a blue background, you will need to calibrate the machine from within the printer driver. Click here for instructions on how to calibrate the machine. Follow the instructions below for your operating system.

The most vibrant blue (like a sky blue) in the CMYK color space will be 100% cyan (100C) and about 70% magenta (70M). Any amount of the contaminating colors (in this case, yellow and black) will reduce the vibrancy. Yellow will “dirty” it up, and black will darken it.

If you print in mostly black, your black cartridge will naturally run out faster than the color cartridges. However, some printers will pull a bit of ink from the color cartridges when you are printing solely in black, just to keep them primed for future use.

Because running on an empty cartridge for too long can cause your printhead to overheat resulting in irreversible printer damage. Some printers are designed to stop printing when an ink cartridge is empty.
