At the core of the Epson Stylus Photo R3000 is the Epson 8-channel MicroPiezo AMC print head. One inch wide, it delivers a maximum resolution of 5760 x 1440 optimized dpi and produces variable-sized ink droplets as small as 2 picoliters to optimize photographic quality and increase print speeds.

All cartridges must be installed with ink for printing and printer maintenance. For print quality, some ink remains in replaced cartridges. Designed for EPSON cartridges only: Other brands of ink supplies are not compatible and, if described as compatible, may not function properly or continuously.

While Epson`s printers are inkjets, they have solved some of the technology`s problems.

Wi-Fi Direct enables you to setup your printer to communicate directly with your computer or another device i.e. Smartphone or tablet, without requiring a wireless router or access point. See the example below. Note: Epson currently offer two different modes of Wi-Fi direct, Simple AP Mode and Wi-Fi Direct Mode.
Setting up a Direct Wireless Connection

Tap Wi-Fi to open the Wi-Fi Networks menu. Tap your Projector`s SSID in the list of available wireless networks. Return to your iOS device`s Home screen and open the iProjection App by tapping the iProjection icon. Tap Projector to open the Select Projector menu.

Epson printers function very well at 1440 dpi, and in general this should be the default setting.
The necessary DPI for print work depends on what you`re doing. 300 dpi is sufficient for a simple flyer or business letter. A professional photographer, however, may not want to consider anything below 1200 dpi. If people are not going to view your prints close-up, you can get away with a lower DPI.
For printing, the recommended resolution for all images and art files is 300 dpi. The offset press cannot accurately reproduce resolutions above 300, so it is the industry standard.
Epson ink cartridges come with a “Best If Used By” date. This date appears to be approximately two years after the date of manufacture. Epson recommends replacing your installed ink cartridges after six months, whether they`re empty or not, to ensure high-quality prints.
Standard cartridges are less expensive but will run out of ink faster. No matter which size you go with, the cartridge will install the exact same way in your printer. In fact, the physical cartridge size is the same regardless of the yield – the only difference is the amount of ink inside the cartridge.
Remove the cartridges from your printer – switch your printer off. Using a piece of damp kitchen roll, gently wipe the copper plate on the cartridge. Allow the chips to air dry. Once the chips are completely dry, re-install the cartridges into your printer and switch the printer back on.
Laser printers can print much faster than inkjet printers can. Most are equipped with high-capacity paper trays, so they can print more pages at a given time. They`re also built to handle the printing of thousands of pages per month without succumbing to wear-and-tear.
If you want to print a lot of text, a laser printer might be better. If you want clear, high-quality images, go with an inkjet. Overall, you should consider your space and money constraints, as well as other aspects like noise, whether you`ll want to use photo paper, and how much time it takes to print a job.
Epson Connect provides mobile services that allow you to print and scan from anywhere. You can print photos and documents using your smart phone, tablet, or mobile computer from your home, your office, or anywhere in the world.

Standard Wireless network connections allow devices to receive information through an access point. Through Wi-Fi Direct, devices have the ability to bypass this process and connect to each other directly.
So, to put it shortly, the main differences between Wi-Fi Direct and WiFi are that: WiFi Direct works directly between devices, without needing a router and a traditional wireless network. WiFi Direct doesn`t give you access to the internet.
Connecting to a Projector with a QR Code – Android

Tap the iProjection icon on your device`s Home screen. Tap Read QR code. Point your device`s camera at the QR code your projector displays; the QR code is read automatically.

Use Mobile as the Wi-Fi Hotspot: Turn on Wi-Fi Hotspot on your iPhone or Android phone, connect the projector to it and start the wireless projection. 2. Use the projector as the Wi-Fi Hotspot: Turn the Wi-Fi Hotspot on the projector and connect your mobile to it and start the wireless projection.
On your Android device, download the Epson Print Enabler plug-in from Google Play. Go to Settings on your Android device, select Printing, and enable the Epson plug-in. Connect your Android device to the same wireless network as your product. Now you are ready to print.
Make sure the Black/Grayscale or Grayscale setting is not selected in your printer software. Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary. The ink levels may be low and you may need to refill the ink.
