If your printouts have incorrect colors, try these solutions: Make sure the paper type setting matches the paper you loaded. Make sure the Black/Grayscale or Grayscale setting is not selected in your printer software. Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged.
If the quality of your printouts remains poor even after repeatedly cleaning and aligning the print head, one or some of the ink cartridges may be old or damaged and should be replaced. Here are the most common causes of a printer printing faded text or images: Low ink or toner levels. Toner sticking to the fuser roller or problems with the transfer roller. Low ink or toner density settings.

If your Epson printer is printing out faint images, skipping lines, or is streaking your image with lines, chances are you have a clogged nozzle–a common problem many users have with Epson printers. It`s unavoidable that print heads clog over time as small amounts of ink residue dry up and collect in the nozzles.

First, check your printer settings on the file or picture your trying to print. If your page is setup to print in “grayscale” it will only print in black and white. Click the Screen Calibration Utility icon button. The Screen Calibration dialog box appears. Move the slider to the right or left until the two shades of the gray horizontal stripes match. Click OK when you have finished calibrating your scanner and monitor.

Paper feeds straight through without printing on an Epson R2400
ANSWER : I was able to get it to print the internal test page by holding down the sheet paper feed button while turning the machine on — then continuing to hold the sheet paper feed button. It took several attempts, feeding a page straight through, but eventually it caught the sheet and printed. So it may be a timing issue as others have mentioned. It could still mean that the feed rollers are worn out. The back side of the large D-shaped feed roller has visible abrasion on it. The abrasion is difficult to see as the roller does not stay with the flat side exposed.

ANSWER : I had the same problem. After reading the comments, I tried Liquid Wrench spray. 1st try got about sixty percent improvement. Tried again this time I let it set for about 10 min then did a head cleaning. Completely solved the problem. I am a little concerned about its use on plastic. So far so good.
