To clean the print head manually, press the Menu button and hold it for 3 seconds. Note: You can also run nozzle checks and head cleaning cycles from your computer using the Epson Printer Utility 2 (Macintosh) or the Utility tab in your printer driver (Windows).
Get a flat something to use as a pry bar. I would suggest the back of a spoon handle, or a dull table knife. Insert the pry bar between the top of the cartridge and the underside of the carriage slot. Slide it forward and then gently lift the pry bar slightly, just enough to allow the cartridge to be pulled free.
If you can`t print, restart your computer and try printing again. If these steps do not resolve your problem, contact Epson Support. Note: You may need to re-establish the connection for the other devices on your network after you restart your router.
Remove the cover. Once the cover is removed you can slide out the cartridges, ince the cartridges are removed by pressing the clip and sliding up, inset a syringe as per the image 1, open the ink filling caps on the ink tank and draw the ink all the way from the tank through the cart.
Messy process – Refilling cartridges can be a messy affair if you are planning to do it all by yourself. You may end up staining your hands or your work area with the ink. Worst case, you may end up clogging the printer head or experience leakages.

Open the ink cartridge door, and then wait for the carriage to move to the center of the product. Press down lightly on the ink cartridge that you want to replace to release it, and then pull it toward you out of its slot. Remove the new ink cartridge from its package.
When you will not be printing for a long time, it is best to remove the cartridges from the printer and store them in a sealed, airtight container. Doing this will need extra precautions because improper storage can instead destroy the cartridges.
