Place a dishcloth (this will get stained too most likely so don`t use a cloth you care about) beneath the stain and apply a generous amount of hairspray to the mark. Once the printer ink stain has dried again, dab at it with a damp cloth and you should be able to get the majority of the stain out.
Remove the cover. Once the cover is removed you can slide out the cartridges, ince the cartridges are removed by pressing the clip and sliding up, inset a syringe as per the image 1, open the ink filling caps on the ink tank and draw the ink all the way from the tank through the cart.
Installing a new cartridge is something of a rite of passage for turntable owners. It`s a skill that once was common, but now seems to be considered some kind of black art by many. In reality, it`s not such a hard thing to do provided you have the appropriate tools, a reasonably steady hand and some patience.

Ensure that the supported settings are applied in the printer driver and click Print in Black to continue printing using Black Print Mode or Cancel Print to replace the expended cartridge.
Open the ink cartridge door, and then wait for the carriage to move to the center of the product. Press down lightly on the ink cartridge that you want to replace to release it, and then pull it toward you out of its slot. Remove the new ink cartridge from its package.

Epson ink cartridge leaking?
ANSWER : Posting this cause it worked for me. I have an Artisan 837 that was leaving pools of blue on the page. I tried Epson’s recommendation of cleaning the print path by pressing the copy button on the control panel (with nothing on the flatbed). Printed 5 pages and the last 2 were clean. Did a test print and the problem was back. Repeated a few times with the problem reocccuring. Switched out the cartridge. no better and now the printer doesn’t recognize its own brand cartridge. Yet, it accepts the 3rd party one.
