Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary. Make sure the paper type setting matches the type of paper you loaded. Make sure you loaded the printable side of the paper correctly for your product.
What should I do? If your printouts contain misaligned vertical lines, you may need to run the print head alignment utility from the driver to align the print head. Your printer must be connected to a local port, not on a network, to use the Print Head Alignment utility.
If your document has smudges, your Epson printer may be unclean. Dirt, dust, or toner can be the cause for smudges on your paper that are collected on the rollers of your printer as it passes through the paper. Cleaning the paper rollers guide from Epson will teach you how to do it.
There are four primary causes for horizontal banding on prints from inkjet printers, (1) nozzle clogs, (2) mis-aligned print heads, (3) low quality print settings (4) incorrect paper thickness settings. Below we will describe each of these causes for horizontal banding as well as ways to try and fix them.
Streaks and unwanted lines could mean that the printer heads are out of alignment. There`s an alignment tool in the printer`s control panel. If that`s not the issue then the printer is dirty. Printer ink stripes may appear along the edges of the paper, which means there`s ink on the rollers and other parts.
The band-shaped “stripes” are called “horizontal bands” or “banding.” Horizontal bands are caused by the subtle changes in the movement distance that occur when feeding the media depending on the media`s thickness. We recommend making corrections to match the media you are using.
If your printouts are blurry or smeared, try these solutions: Make sure your paper is not damp, curled, old, or loaded incorrectly in your product. Use a support sheet with special paper, or load special paper one sheet at a time. Place a piece of black paper on the back of the original and copy it again.
If you still see white or dark lines or missing colors in your printouts, even after cleaning the print head several times, you can perform a Power Ink Flushing. Note: After a Power Ink Flushing, you must turn off the product and wait at least 12 hours before printing again.
Avoid banding by making a well-exposed photograph and saving it as an uncompressed RAW file. To fix color banding, make subtle edits and limit how much you compress the photo when exporting as a JPEG. If banding is harsh and distracting, try disguising it by adding a blur and some noise to the area.
Banding is caused by the harder rollers being less water-receptive than softer ones, non-alcohol solutions having a harder time adhering to their surfaces. The solution is to use softer rollers, such those possessing a durometer of 18:22.
Black, cyan, magenta, or yellow vertical lines or streaks can be caused by a dirty corona wire, a toner cartridge, or the drum unit. To identify if a corona wire, toner cartridge, or the drum unit could be causing the issue, follow the steps below. 1.
A printing defect characterized by elongated blotches of ink in non-image areas, commonly caused by mechanical problems with the press, such as damaged rollers (in lithography), or by improper wiping of a gravure cylinder by the doctor blade (due to dried ink fragments attached to it, or other such problems).
Double printing can occur for several possible reasons including an improperly seated ink tank, a misaligned print head, and a dirty encoder stip. Select one of the links below to get detailed instructions to address the issue. Check that all ink tanks are seated properly. Refer to Replace an ink tank.
The concept of banding is based on the idea that small differences between test scores may not translate into meaningful differences in expected job performance. For example, a candidate who scores 94% on a test may not perform noticeably better on the job than a candidate who scores 92%.
Your doctor will use a lighted endoscope and place an elastic band around the bleeding esophageal vein. Banding the vein will cut off blood flow through the vein. The banded tissue develops into a small ulceration that quickly heals after several days or a few weeks.
