Causes of Multiple Sheet Feed

Multiple pages being fed through the printer overlapping or in a stack occurs when the media fails to separate correctly in the tray. Common causes are issues with the print media, incorrectly adjusted paper trays and worn or contaminated feed or separator rollers.

If multiple pages feed at once, remove the paper, fan the edges to separate the sheets, and reload it. If multiple pages continue to feed at once, turn on the Paper Feed Assist Mode setting in the Setup > System Administration > Printer Settings menu. Do not load more than the recommended number of sheets.
This issue always happens on various printers including Canon, Ricoh, Epson, Brother, or HP. The common reasons for this issue are various, for instance, the paper input tray is overloaded, dust or moisture can affect the paper feed or paper pick rollers, the printer driver is old, etc.
Now, typically this mean either the USB cord is bad or the ink cartridges are empty/bad. Step 1: I would suggest checking the ink levels in the printer, because usually when you`re out of ink this causes the printer to not print at all or eject blank pages when trying to print anything from the desk to/notebook.
Small fragments of sticky label material commonly get torn off and stuck within your printer, collecting dust and causing a jam. Shut the printer off, get a flashlight, and try to see inside. Make sure no label fragments have jammed up your printer before proceeding.
Creases and folds in the paper are normally due to one of the following conditions: The paper is not correctly loaded in the paper tray. You are printing on a special type of paper or other media. The paper has absorbed too much moisture from the surrounding air.
A cleaning sheet will help remove dust from the rollers, which can cause a loss of traction and prevent paper from feeding properly. Caution: Remove the instruction sheet attached to the Epson Ink Jet Printer Cleaning Sheets and do not follow the steps on it; they are not correct for your printer.
Do a hard reset on your printer. To do this you just need to turn off your printer, unplug for a few minutes and then plug the printer again. If that still doesn`t work, try turning the printer and your computer off, and then start it back up again. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling your printer driver.
Turn the printer on at least once every two weeks to automatically clean the print head and prevent the nozzles from clogging. If you do not turn on the printer for a long time, the printer may malfunction.
In the Page Setup dialog box, make sure that “Multiple pages” drop down is set to “Normal” (not “Two pages per sheet”). Also look at the print options at File > Print.
Select Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers. Right-click your product name, select See what`s printing, and select your product name again, if necessary. Right-click the stalled print job, click Cancel, and click Yes.

ANSWER : In my case, I have a WorkForce 7620 having this problem too, and there is white post on a sliding plastic bar which is the reason of my sorrow. I cannot move it, and it is getting me so desperate, because it makes the print head get stuck. I try to push it down to get the print head to the right position. I see no paper jam there. Any suggestion, please?
