Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary. Make sure the paper type setting matches the type of paper you loaded. Make sure you loaded the printable side of the paper correctly for your product.
What should I do? If your printouts contain misaligned vertical lines, you may need to run the print head alignment utility from the driver to align the print head. Your printer must be connected to a local port, not on a network, to use the Print Head Alignment utility.
There are four primary causes for horizontal banding on prints from inkjet printers, (1) nozzle clogs, (2) mis-aligned print heads, (3) low quality print settings (4) incorrect paper thickness settings. Below we will describe each of these causes for horizontal banding as well as ways to try and fix them.
A printer printing lines on the page are normally caused by a blocked, dirty, or damaged print head. Blocked ink cartridge nozzles, or not removing protective seals correctly when you installed a new ink cartridge can also cause missing lines of print.
The band-shaped “stripes” are called “horizontal bands” or “banding.” Horizontal bands are caused by the subtle changes in the movement distance that occur when feeding the media depending on the media`s thickness. We recommend making corrections to match the media you are using.
Streaks and unwanted lines could mean that the printer heads are out of alignment. There`s an alignment tool in the printer`s control panel. If that`s not the issue then the printer is dirty. Printer ink stripes may appear along the edges of the paper, which means there`s ink on the rollers and other parts.
A horizontal line is a straight line that goes from left to right or right to left. In coordinate geometry, a line is said to be horizontal if two points on the line have the same Y- coordinate points. It comes from the term “horizon”. It means that the horizontal lines are always parallel to the horizon or the x-axis.
Your blue came out purple because of the divide between RGB and CMYK color gamuts. In simplest terms, the colors available in the RGB color gamut (what you can see on your screen) are much greater than the colors available in the CMYK gamut (what can be printed).
This could also be an issue with the printer print settings on your PC causing the issue. While feeding the photo paper to the photo, you need to keep “Glossy” or print side facing down. Also, it is important to change the print settings before you print a photo.

Red Lines on Epson printer
ANSWER : The problem is apparently a hardware design shortcoming. The intervals of streaking match every second movement of the print head across the page. The evidence is from five 2.000 (+/- .003) inch spaced repetitions of an image (for business cards). The streaks show up at corresponding locations within the images. They may be consistently bright (paper advance defect), or appear somewhat randomly bright or dark (print head suspension worn out).

Paper feeds straight through without printing on an Epson R2400
ANSWER : I was able to get it to print the internal test page by holding down the sheet paper feed button while turning the machine on — then continuing to hold the sheet paper feed button. It took several attempts, feeding a page straight through, but eventually it caught the sheet and printed. So it may be a timing issue as others have mentioned. It could still mean that the feed rollers are worn out. The back side of the large D-shaped feed roller has visible abrasion on it. The abrasion is difficult to see as the roller does not stay with the flat side exposed.
