How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Small fragments of sticky label material commonly get torn off and stuck within your printer, collecting dust and causing a jam. Shut the printer off, get a flashlight, and try to see inside. Make sure no label fragments have jammed up your printer before proceeding.
Step 1: Unplug your Epson printer. Step 2: Use your computer to process a printing job before turning your printer on again. Step 3: Plug in your Epson printer. Step 4: This process will override the ink cartridge settings and print out the document.
Select Print Settings from the pop-up menu. Select plain papers or Envelope as the Media Type setting. Select the Grayscale check box. Click Print to close the Print dialog box.
The product prints a nozzle check pattern. Check the printed pattern to see if there are gaps in the lines. If there are no gaps, the print head is clean and you can continue printing. If there are gaps or the pattern is faint, clean the print head.
your pickup roller is dirty and the printer can`t grab a piece of paper. it will say paper jam when it does this. get a drop of dishsoap and clean the pickup roller of your printer with this. scrape at it with your fingernail to get the roller clean and wipe it off with a damp washcloth.
Go to Control panel and then Devices and Printers. Find and right-click on your printer and click on Printing Preferences. Go to Quick Setup tab and then select Grayscale.
Faint, streaky or spotty prints are all common signs of a clog but a simple cleaning can usually get your HP ink cartridges working again. Printheads clog due to infrequent cartridge use. If you regularly go a few weeks without printing, your cartridges will eventually dry out and need to be replaced.
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
Make sure the Black/Grayscale or Grayscale setting is not selected in your printer software. Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary. The ink levels may be low and you may need to refill the ink.
Improperly Loading Paper into the Device

Loading paper that is stuck together, frayed, curled or bent can cause a jam. Overloading the paper tray, loading different thicknesses of paper in the tray or using paper that isn`t appropriate for your particular printer can all result in a jammed printer.

Step one: Perform a power reset

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait at least 15 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.

Do a hard reset on your printer. To do this you just need to turn off your printer, unplug for a few minutes and then plug the printer again. If that still doesn`t work, try turning the printer and your computer off, and then start it back up again. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling your printer driver.

Epson Workforce 600 won't clear paper jam message
ANSWER : In my case, I have a WorkForce 7620 having this problem too, and there is white post on a sliding plastic bar which is the reason of my sorrow. I cannot move it, and it is getting me so desperate, because it makes the print head get stuck. I try to push it down to get the print head to the right position. Then, when I turn on the printer, the print head cannot move. The bar post don’t go down to free the print head and all I got all the time is an error code 0x69 on the screen. message error: ADF paper jam
ANSWER : There is a thin plastic arm that the paper pushes on. It is spring loaded. If it doesn’t return and unblock the sensor after the paper passes it, you get the paper jam warning. I’m guessing that is the spring you are referring to.
