How to Identify and Fix Common printer Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced technical support :

The paper might not be engaged with the feed rollers. The paper-width guide is pressed against the paper stack too tightly. The paper tray is not completely inserted into the product. The paper settings in the print driver do not match the paper loaded in the paper tray.
An E2 error occurs when the printer attempts to print a single-page or multi-page print job, and the paper length selected in the print settings does not match the length of the loaded paper.
If the paper cassette or multi-purpose tray is empty, the message <LOAD PAPER> appears on the display. Check if the paper is properly loaded in the paper cassette or multi-purpose tray. For the instructions on how to load paper, see “Loading Paper into the Paper Cassette” or “Loading Paper in the Multi-Purpose Tray.”
The way I solved it was to restart the print spooler. This will reset Window`s communication with the printer and Windows will no longer think the printer is out of paper.
An E2 Error code indicates that the washer is still draining after 8 minutes. Check the following: Check that the drain hose is not more than 391 ⁄3″ (100 cm) from the floor. Remove any clogs from the drain hose.
The common reasons for this issue are various, for instance, the paper input tray is overloaded, dust or moisture can affect the paper feed or paper pick rollers, the printer driver is old, etc. Thus, the printer cannot detect the paper that has been inserted into the tray.
There are a few things that could be the cause of this problem, including: Empty ink or toner cartridges that need replacing. Ink or toner cartridges that have become dislodged from their proper place. The wrong paper size loaded in the input tray.
The duplex copy (1-sided to 2-sided) feature allows you to make a double-sided copy of two single-sided documents. STEP I: First, check the copy type that is suitable to your documents.
Auto duplex printing simply means that your printer can automatically print on both sides of your paper. Many newer printers feature this function. Some older models, however, require you to manually flip the pages so they can be printed on both sides.
Several factors may cause the product to print blank pages, such as print settings, low ink, or the product itself. Check the following: Make sure the product is placed on a flat, stable surface that extends beyond the base in all directions. The product won`t operate properly if it`s tilted or at an angle.
Articles that have been published shall remain extant, exact and unaltered as far as is possible. However, very occasionally circumstances may arise where an article is published that must later be retracted or even removed.
Paper jams can occur for a variety of reasons, such as overloading the paper tray, loading different thicknesses of paper in the tray, or using paper that isn`t appropriate for your particular printer. False paper jams can also occur.
The E2 error code is an AUTO-STOP PROTECTION indicating a short or open circuit in the indoor pipe sensor. Unfortunately, there is not any troubleshooting to resolve this error. The unit will require a repair service.
E2 – Flow sensor shorted or damaged.
Resolution. Device shows “E2” Cuff is under-inflated or over-inflated.
The thermostat will display error code E02 if the password to the home router was entered incorrectly. The thermostat will automatically progress to the WiFi Set Up screen after 30 seconds.
just GOTO settings > printer properties of your printer > preferences>paper quality >change the paper to A4 size . and restart the printer.
In the Print window, click Preferences, Properties, or Printer Properties. Click the Paper/Quality tab, and then click Custom. Click New, type a name for the custom paper size, select the width and height, and then click OK to save the paper.
One side of the leaf is one page, and the other side is another page. So if you opt for single-sided printing, one side counts as one page. If you select double-sided printing (i.e. you want your work printed on the front and back of a single leaf), then that will count as two pages or two sides.
Printing in single-sided means that you are only printing one side of your packaging, which is typically just the outside of the box, leaving the inside unprinted. This is a great option for brands to get involved with custom packaging in a more affordable manner, as you don`t need to pay for double-sided print.
Single sided printers are ideal for ID cards that are being manually checked and do not require a magnetic stripe to be swiped through a reader. Whereas, if you`re looking to print more complex cards, with information and text spreading onto both sides, a dual-sided printer would be best.
Enabling double-sided printing in Windows

Open Start> Settings> Devices, and select the Printers and Scanners tab in the left menu. Click on the printer you would like to print double-sided from and select Manage. Select Printer Properties from the left menu. This will open a new dialog box.

Not all printers have duplex printing capabilities, so you`ll need to check your printer manual or contact your printer manufacturer to make sure you can print double-sided. If your printer doesn`t double-sided printing capabilities, you won`t see the option to adjust it.

Prints blank pages, won't print from computer
ANSWER : Don’t know why you replaced the fuser, but assuming you had print before, then it must have been something you did during the procedure. Only thing I can suggest is to recheck your work. Just because you reinstalled a connector doesn’t mean that it is seated firmly enough to work. Any flat ribbon connectors that you removed and reinstalled, check to see that the contacts are all flat and not peeled back.

Paper jam in tray 2 (but no paper pulled from tray) also M476DN models
ANSWER : Isopropyl alcohol is not recommended for rubber rollers. It dries out the rubber and hasten it’s cracking and breaking. It will do nothing to restore the grip. Those rollers are really hard to replace. It would be easy if that dumbass secondary menu really worked. None of the techs I’ve spoke to ever got into it. Everyone I know sends a print job and listens for the roller to rotate into position where you can pull it off.

Paper feeds straight through without printing on an Epson R2400
ANSWER : I was able to get it to print the internal test page by holding down the sheet paper feed button while turning the machine on — then continuing to hold the sheet paper feed button. It took several attempts, feeding a page straight through, but eventually it caught the sheet and printed. So it may be a timing issue as others have mentioned. It could still mean that the feed rollers are worn out. The back side of the large D-shaped feed roller has visible abrasion on it. The abrasion is difficult to see as the roller does not stay with the flat side exposed.

Rear Paper Feed Blocked On Left Side?
ANSWER : Most times it is something you can’t see, like a small torn scrap of paper. What you can try is to shove a file folder down the path the paper takes. That will push out any offending scrap without having to take the printer apart.
