When the message “Ink absorber full.” is displayed, the printer stops printing and needs ink absorber replacement. Push the power button to turn OFF the printer, and then contact the service center for replacement. Request either Canon or the dealer you purchased the machine for a repair service.
Press and hold the “Power” button and reconnect the power cord. When the printer comes on, release the button. Wait five seconds and push the “Power” button again. This resets the printer`s internal memory and overrides the “Ink Absorber Full” error code.
Conclusion. If you want to re-use your waste ink, think about ways to use it for things like tie-dyeing, caligraphy or any manner of other craft activities (be aware that the inks are unlikely to be suitable for use by children!) but don`t use it in your printer.
With the printer powered on, select Setup . Select Device settings . Scroll to the bottom of the menu list and select Reset settings.
The purpose of the waste ink absorber is to safely collect any waste ink expelled during cleaning of the print head and borderless printing on photo printers. Over time this waste ink absorber can become full and will need to be replaced.
Isopropyl alcohol isn`t strong enough to melt the sponge but is still strong enough to dissolve the ink inside the blocked printer head.
The bottom part of the printer Canon Pixma is fully covered with sponges and forms the so-called waste ink tank. Each time you clean the printheads on your inkjet printer, ink is sucked out of the printer`s print nozzles and out of the cartridges, and into the sponges on the bottom of the printer via one or more hoses.

ANSWER : Different cartridges, notwithstanding, don’t have a ‘fill gap’ so you’ll have to make one yourself. Our refill units for these sorts of cartridges accompany a smolder apparatus which is utilized to blaze (really dissolve) a fill opening in the cartridge . Our refill guidelines will demonstrate you precisely where to make the fill opening (you would prefer not to make it in the wrong spot). A blaze device come standard in all refill packs for cartridges without processing plant made fill openings. if you want to get proper detailed information then call us at 1-888-924-2961for more information regarding canon printer support.

Ink Tank Cannot Be Recognized(Canon mp500)
ANSWER : My MX922 ran out of yellow (slowly) then didn’t recognize first one and then a second new Canon CLI-251 yellow cartridge. I’ve always used Canon. Then I inserted a 251a Y (extra large) yellow, and it worked immediately – for how long, I don’t know. Guess I’ll order another set of XL ink tanks – either that or a new printer.

waste ink tank
ANSWER : There is no waste ink “tank”. There are some sponges and they usually are about 1/4 saturated when you get the message. If you want to go through the trouble to remove them, you can just wash them in hot water and dry them out as the ink is water soluble. Or, you can search the web for a waste tank reset procedure and not worry about it.
