Printers that use two cartridges (one black, one tri-color) can print if one cartridge is empty. To continue printing, remove the empty cartridge from the printer.
Messy process – Refilling cartridges can be a messy affair if you are planning to do it all by yourself. You may end up staining your hands or your work area with the ink. Worst case, you may end up clogging the printer head or experience leakages.
If you want to print a lot of text, a laser printer might be better. If you want clear, high-quality images, go with an inkjet. Overall, you should consider your space and money constraints, as well as other aspects like noise, whether you`ll want to use photo paper, and how much time it takes to print a job.

ANSWER : I have the same problem with excess toner causing lines over the printed page. Have tried to find where the excess toner is stored but cannot do so. No green arrows; there are blue errors but there are no screws beneath these. Have tried removing adjacent screws, but this did not help. ANSWER : I’m having a similar issue, checked you resolution and found the little grey piece seems to be in place and able to rock back and forth. When I send a job to the printer it sounds like it is trying to pick up the paper then I get the ‘Jam 0’ error. Any ideas ?

ANSWER : clutch doesn’t lower the roller assembly. The little bum on the paper tray will push the roller assembly down when you push the paper tray inside the unit. Clutch is only involving in rotating the rollers.

Print Quality Issue (Streaks and Ghosting)
ANSWER : Streaks are mostly caused by internal drum wiper blades that clean left over toner off the drum to prepare it for a new image. Ghosting is caused by a leftover image on the drum. The 6 inches that you mention would be the circumference of the part that is causing it. Fusers will never cause either problem.

How do I clean it?
ANSWER : Not familiar with that model, but somewhere it has 4 drums, one for each color. Not sure if what you are looking at is one of them, but it would be metallic blue in color. There is a rubber blade that cleans the drums, similar to a windshield wiper blade. In all probability, that is what is causing the lines.
