Colour LaserJet 4500 – Missing Parts

Press your printer`s Setup button. Go to System Setup. Choose Print Quality and then Calibrate Color. Choose Calibrate Now and press OK.

Determine how long the cartridge has been installed. White streaking through the printout or an entire missing color both indicate an empty cartridge. If the cartridge is depleted of one color, it needs to be replaced. Each color is necessary to create the colors used in day-to-day printing.

First, check your printer settings on the file or picture your trying to print. If your page is setup to print in “grayscale” it will only print in black and white. Change the setting to “default” so it will print in color. If your settings look good from the start, the cartridge may just need to be primed.

A printer printing lines on the page are normally caused by a blocked, dirty, or damaged print head. Blocked ink cartridge nozzles, or not removing protective seals correctly when you installed a new ink cartridge can also cause missing lines of print.

Try removing all of the printer`s ink cartridges and replacing them. Print out a few test pages to see if the issue has been resolved. If you are still experiencing skipped lines, try to remove the ink cartridge and replace it with a brand-new cartridge, as this can sometimes alleviate concerns.

This will turn your printer to its original default settings. Now jump to the file you want to print and click the “Print” option. Move your cursor and click on “Properties” and then the “Color” option. Here, choose the option “Print in Grayscale” by just hitting on its checkbox.

Make sure the document is set to print in color and enable the color printing feature on your printer. Check the ink level and replace the ink cartridge if necessary. Clean the print head. Most printers have an automatic cleaning feature now.

Color laser printers use colored toner (dry ink), typically cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK). While monochrome printers only use one laser scanner assembly, color printers often have two or more, often one for each of the four colors.

Why is RGB not ideal for Printing & Packaging? In most printing processes, RGB color space is usually converted to CMYK before creating the artwork. Essentially, any colors produced with RGB on the digital space will not create the same output on the physical print.

From the File menu, select the Print option. Select the printer from the Printer menu. Expand the drop-down list, and then select Color Options.

Click the Properties button. The Properties dialog box opens. Check the options on the property tabs to make sure that the appropriate color options are selected. If there is a checkmark in the box by Print in Grayscale, click in the box to remove the checkmark, and then click OK.
