Do not perform any other operations until the printer completes the printing of the print head alignment pattern. This takes about 6 minutes. If the automatic adjustment of the print head position has failed, the Alarm lamp flashes. Refer to “Eleven flashes:” of [ Alarm Lamp Flashes Orange ].
If printed lines are misaligned or print results are otherwise unsatisfactory, adjust the print head position. If the problem is not resolved after performing the Print Head Alignment, perform Print Head Alignment manually referring to Aligning the Print Head Position from Your Computer.

An alignment helps ensure that all four tires are correctly angled with each other and the road. If you don`t get an alignment with new tires, you may experience a rough ride and experience uneven tire wear earlier than normal—which can shorten your tires` lifespan.
An alignment is a crucial part of car maintenance, and it directly impacts your vehicle`s performance. Alignment affects everything from the wear on your tires to your fuel efficiency and performance.
Calibration is required whenever there is a change in wheel alignment on an ADAS-equipped vehicle. This is because the system`s sensors must accurately calibrate to the new wheel alignment. For example, if the toe angle changes, the sensors must be calibrated to account for the new alignment angle.
A print head scratch occurs when an accumulation of dust or debris gets stuck in your machine. And if this happens, the damage cannot be fixed. In most cases, you would need to purchase a new printhead. That`s why it`s important to keep the dust out, away from your machine.
If you`re still experiencing quality issues or printhead errors, then there may be other problems at play. Before taking any other actions, it`s recommended that you clean the printhead and ink cartridges four or five more times.
Ever wonder why your prints sometimes appear faded or streaky? It`s usually because the printhead inside your printer is clogged or dried out. Like with most printers, Canon printheads can clog due to ink or dust drying up and collecting in the nozzle.

Canon Pixma MP610 won't print in black
ANSWER : Printer cleanings use wet ink to clear dried up ink. Yeah, that works real well. The best way to clean the heads is remove all the ink tanks. Next to the tanks on the right, there is a plastic release lever. Pull up on it and it will release the heads. Reach in and pull them out. Take the heads over to the sink and run hot tap water into the screen for the black and then turn it over and run it over the heads on the bottom. Repeat a few times and reinstall.
