Select Scaled from the Page Layout list on the Page Setup tab. Using Page Size, select the page size that is set with your application software.
Use plain paper for printing texts or photo paper for printing photos, for the best print results. We recommend the use of Canon genuine paper for printing your important photos.
If you choose a Canon PIXMA inkjet printer, you can print both photos and documents. The PIXMA also allows for wireless printing. Alternately, you can connect your smartphone or computer to your printer via a USB cable.

Choose “Printing Preferences” from the pop-up menu, then look at the setup options your print driver provides. Usually, there will be one called “Layout” or “Page Layout.” Once you`ve clicked “Layout,” you should have the option to manually set your margins to zero.
The most popular formats of the traditional sizes are the Letter (8.5 × 11 inches), Legal (8.5 × 14 inches) and Tabloid (11 × 17 inches) formats.
As a rule of thumb, to achieve photo quality print, you will need to use an image resolution of 300 pixels per inch. We write this as 300 DPI and means that in each inch of your print there will be 300 pixels.
Features of a photo printer
No set standard makes a printer-specific to photos. You can, in theory, use almost any home printer to create black-and-white or color prints. Most printer software products include custom settings that will change the resolution of your print job to make them near perfect for photos.

Canon pixma – ink absorber almost full

Canon Pixma MX882 won't print black text
ANSWER : Yeah I’m having the same problem with my Canon MX882. I’ve refilled the pigment tank, cleaned the print head and I still get no pigment black at all. I think it has something to do with the purge unit, but I don’t see any instructions on how to clean it. If I can figure it out, I’ll let you know.

ANSWER : Printer cleanings use wet ink to clear dried up ink. Yeah, that works real well. The best way to clean the heads is remove all the ink tanks. Next to the tanks on the right, there is a plastic release lever. Pull up on it and it will release the heads. Reach in and pull them out. Take the heads over to the sink and run hot tap water into the screen for the black and then turn it over and run it over the heads on the bottom. Repeat a few times and reinstall.
