To try and resolve the error, please remove and reseat both ink cartridges in the printer, then power off the printer, unplug the power cord from the back and leave it out for at least 10 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it back on. If the error persists, the printer will require servicing.
E58. – Trying to start copying before you register the paper size. Specify the paper size and start copying. Press the Stop button to cancel copying.
The E,5,9 error indicates a problem with the paper size setting. You will need to check the paper size setting at the printer and on your computer. They will need to be the same.
An E5 error occurs when the printer experiences a scanning error. Turn the printer off and on again to resolve a scanning error. If you were not scanning when the error occurred, skip to the Service the printer section at the end of this document.
E, 1, 6 (LED display)
The ink has run out. Replace the ink cartridge and close the paper output cover. If printing is in progress and you want to continue printing, press the machine`s Stop/Reset button for at least 5 seconds with the ink cartridge installed. Then printing can continue under the ink out condition.
Err 60. An error occurred preventing shooting, the lens movement may be obstructed. If the error message is still showing, then trying a second lens (if available) is recommended to isolate the issue.
E, 0, 8 E08 Ink absorber is almost full. The ink absorber collects excess ink after head cleaning or during printing. Ink usually goes into a bottle which eventually becomes full. There is a risk that ink can begin to spill.
Open Settings -> Devices -> Printers and Scanners (or run a quick access URI command: ms-settings:printers ); Select a printer you want to remove and click Remove Device; Confirm the printer removal.
This error is primarily caused by a transfer alienation failure in which the ITB is stuck and unable to rotate, the SR9 sensor (the primary transfer roller disengagement sensor) has gone bad or the fuser drive assembly has failed.
if however one of the E04, E05, E14 or E15 “The FINE Cartridge cannot be recognized” messages remain it is likely that the cartridge is damaged/defective. Sadly in this instance the only option that remains is to replace the cartridge, preferably one produced by another party or from another batch.
An E5 or E6 error occurs when the scanner or printer is in an error state. Reset the printer. With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the printer. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

Although printer errors can differ by from model to model, typically the E5 printer error for Canon Pixma printers refers to a problem with an ink cartridge. Possible causes of the error include: Ink cartridge is not installed properly. Wrong ink cartridge installed (unsupported type of cartridge)
Once the printer believes the cartridge has run out of ink you will be presented with either the E13 message or the E16 message that indicates that you need to change the ink cartridge. If this message is being displayed on your printers screen then your printer will stop printing and scanning.
Paper Is Jammed When Automatic Duplex Printing
If the paper is jammed when performing automatic duplex printing, remove the paper following the procedure below. Pull the paper out slowly from the paper output slot. Hold the paper with your hands, then pull the paper out slowly not to tear it.
Err 60. Something is stopping the camera from shooting. The lens movement may be obstructed in this case. Check that the lens is not suffering from obstructions in the moving parts.
This issue could be due to the printer being dirty (excess ink in the ink cartridge tray or ink overflow tray). Try cleaning the printer thoroughly and installing the cartridges again to see if this fixes the problem.

ANSWER : Look for a protruding plastic on the top that goes into an indentation. Mine was in the front left side. Put a piece of cardboard into the indentation.and close the door. The top plastic piece is not pushing the door close sensor down and because its too short and the cardboard allows the sensor to be reached and pushed.
