To disable the function for detecting the remaining ink level, press and hold the printer`s Stop button for at least 5 seconds, and then release it. By this operation, the fact that you have disabled the function for detecting the remaining ink level will be memorized.
Check Cables and Printer USB Ports

Check all cable connections (including the power cord) on the printer side. If the printer does have power and you`ve properly connected the communication cable, but the printer is still not recognized, try switching to a different USB port on the PC.

If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Cartridge Protection: This feature permanently associates toner cartridges with a specific printer, or fleet of printers, so they cannot be used in other printers. Protecting cartridges protects your investment.
Once a cartridge has been installed in a printer it is marked as `protected`, so it can only be installed in that machine. This obviously means it cannot be refilled to use in another printer, essentially forcing it to landfill.

If you do not know the SSID or the network key, you can check them by using the “Canon MF/LBP Wireless Setup Assistant.” Download the “Canon MF/LBP Wireless Setup Assistant” from the Canon website (http://www.canon.com/), and start it up from a computer connected to a wireless LAN.

They are probably stored on the printer itself. On this PC, I see some settings at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\PrinterMigrationEx\<printer name>\DsDriver , such as paper size supported, though these might be added when driver was installed.

Canon Pixma MP610 won't print in black
ANSWER : Printer cleanings use wet ink to clear dried up ink. Yeah, that works real well. The best way to clean the heads is remove all the ink tanks. Next to the tanks on the right, there is a plastic release lever. Pull up on it and it will release the heads. Reach in and pull them out. Take the heads over to the sink and run hot tap water into the screen for the black and then turn it over and run it over the heads on the bottom. Repeat a few times and reinstall.
