Error Code 6A00 apparently means that the “auto-purge” unit is not operating correctly. The auto-purge unit is three “squeegees” that move horizontally along guides to wipe across the print head nozzles after printing to remove the excess ink.
Waste ink absorber error 1700
Eight flashes indicates that this absorber is nearly full. Press the <Stop/Reset> button to clear the error so you can continue printing. Before the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, the printer will need to be serviced.
According to Canon, Error 06 indicates a fault of the sensor cleaning module.
Open the Canon IJ Printer Assistant Tool. Make sure that the printer is on, and click Remaining Ink Notification Settings. Select the ink color and click Reset to reset the remaining ink level counter. When you reset the remaining ink level count, you must refill the ink tank to the upper limit line.
The hard reset helps you restore your Canon printer back to its default factory configuration. Here`s how to perform a hard reset: Step 1: Press and hold the “Stop” button on your Canon printer until you hear the alarm ringing. Step 2: Release the “Start” button only after the alarm flashes or rings at least 19 times.
Ink absorber absorbs the ink used when Cleaning is executed. In order to maintain the best printing, the ink used when Cleaning is absorbed into the ink absorber inside the printer. The ink absorber requires the replacement when it is full. However, it cannot be replaced by yourself.
The only permanent solution to the 0x0000011B error is to install the latest Windows Update which fixes the issue. For now, you can try uninstalling the update or disabling the problematic security feature from the Registry. Other workarounds include installing the printer manually.
1. Paper Jams. Paper jams are a common problem for printers, resulting in time-consuming and frustrating delays. It can occur when loose sheets of paper get stuck in the rollers or feeding mechanism of the printer.
This error code is 5B00. It indicates that the used ink counter must be reset and that your absorber pads must be replaced.
The Canon 5200 error is often related to the ink levels present in printer cartridges. Turning your printer off and on again can reset the printer`s mechanism for reading ink levels and get you back to printing in no time.

Canon PIXMA MP800 Error 6A00
ANSWER : I also had the 6A00 Error on my aging MX7600. The pushing-the-sponge-down trick did not work for me. What finally did work involved a part just to the right of the sponges that the print head parks over. Its a white plastic piece, Mine was stuck in a forward position. After much poking around in there, I realized that this piece can slide toward the rear of the machine. And for me, that was what had to happen to get past the error message. Just pushed it toward the rear as far as it would go, slide the print head back in place and it finally started up normally again. I hope this helps anyone out there who might still have one of these still working.
