How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

It`s usually because the printhead inside your printer is clogged or dried out. Like with most printers, Canon printheads can clog due to ink or dust drying up and collecting in the nozzle.
The common reasons for this issue are various, for instance, the paper input tray is overloaded, dust or moisture can affect the paper feed or paper pick rollers, the printer driver is old, etc. Thus, the printer cannot detect the paper that has been inserted into the tray.
There are a few things that could be the cause of this problem, including: Empty ink or toner cartridges that need replacing. Ink or toner cartridges that have become dislodged from their proper place. The wrong paper size loaded in the input tray.
There are numerous possible causes for a printer that`s randomly producing blanks. The most common ones are empty ink cartridges, improper cartridge installation, and congested nozzles. Driver and software issues can sometimes cause this problem as well.
The paper might not be engaged with the feed rollers. The paper-width guide is pressed against the paper stack too tightly. The paper tray is not completely inserted into the product. The paper settings in the print driver do not match the paper loaded in the paper tray.
* You can use non-Canon genuine specialty paper that is up to 53 lb (200 g /m 2). Do not use heavier or lighter paper (except for Canon genuine paper), as it could jam in the printer.
Reasons why your HP printer has ink but won`t print

This may seem obvious, but it sometimes happens: first make sure your paper tray has paper in it. Misalignment, clogged printheads, faulty data communication or insufficient ink levels can also be sources of the problem.

White lines will typically start appearing on your print outs due to a clogged up printer head. Your first port of call when solving this problem is to run the cleaning program on your printer, which should be accessible through its settings menu.
The PIXMA iP8720 can use plain paper that is 17 to 28 lb (64 to 105 g /m2) (except for Canon genuine paper), and non-Canon genuine specialty paper that is up to 53 lb (200 g /m2).
Different printers need specific printing paper. For instance, thermal printers only work with thermal papers, while regular printers use regular papers. As for regular papers, inkjet and laser printers primarily don`t require specific papers. Instead, you can print using office copy papers.
What can I do if paper does not feed? For IVY / IVY CLIQ+ / IVY CLIQ+2: Make sure the top cover is closed properly. Reload the Canon ZINK® paper in the proper position (logos facing down).
The message “No Paper” will appear on the LCD display if the Brother machine does not detect paper in the paper tray(Tray#1 or Tray#2) or MP(Multi-purpose) Tray. Resetting the Brother machine may resolve this issue.
