The cause: a tiny spring, intended to load the paper intake rollers, is inadequately weak. The intake / feed-in rollers just slide around on top of the paper instead of gripping it and pulling it into the print mechanism.
If the paper feed roller is dirty or paper powder is attached to it, paper may not be fed properly. In this case, perform the paper feed roller cleaning from the computer. Cleaning will wear out the paper feed roller, so perform this only when necessary.
Open the document, and then click File > Print. Select your printer, and then click Printer Properties, Preferences, or Printer Setup. From the print settings, select the option for a two-sided print job. Menu options vary by printer model.
In the application you wish to print from, go to the File menu and click Print. Select the printer you`d like to use, and select the Properties button. Under the Layout tab, you can choose the method you want under the Print on Both Sides section. By choosing None, the document will print single-sided.
Program Settings
Although the printer might be correctly configured to print in Portrait mode, the program itself might be configured to print in Landscape mode. These settings are typically adjusted by locating a Page Setup or Page Layout menu and then looking for Orientation.
There are four primary causes for horizontal banding on prints from inkjet printers, (1) nozzle clogs, (2) mis-aligned print heads, (3) low quality print settings (4) incorrect paper thickness settings. Below we will describe each of these causes for horizontal banding as well as ways to try and fix them.
Make sure your paper meets the specifications for your product. If paper dust builds up on the rollers, they may lose traction and become unable to feed paper properly. Clean the paper guide. If roll paper does not feed, cut the end straight across and uncurl it by rolling it backward, if necessary.
Paper curl is caused by an excess amount of moisture in the paper. The first step to ensure less paper curl is to store your paper in a cool, dry area. By doing so, you will reduce the amount of moisture and humidity the paper is exposed to. The next step is to always fan the paper before placing in the machine.
If the problem is not resolved, turn off the printer, unplug the power plug, and then wipe the Paper Feed Roller (A) located on the right side inside the Rear Tray with a moistened cotton swab or the like. Rotate the roller (A) manually as you clean it.
Windows. Open the Print Dialog box. In most programs, you will click File and then click Print, or press CTRL+P on your keyboard. In the settings section, change Print on Both Sides to Print One Sided or uncheck Print on both sides depending on your print selection.
IMPORTANT: Do not lay the printer on its side or back. Used ink is accumulated in the printer and can leak if the printer is not laid down properly.
Auto duplex printing simply means that your printer can automatically print on both sides of your paper. Many newer printers feature this function. Some older models, however, require you to manually flip the pages so they can be printed on both sides.
Two Sided Printing – Windows
Right click on the printer you want to enable Two-sided printing on. Select Printer Properties. Select Device Settings Tab. Under Installable Options Make sure Duplex Unit is installed (if set to Not Installed click on the text “Not Installed” and select “Installed” from the options.
These duplex printing is not working problems can be fixed by reinstalling applications, resetting settings and preferences. Sometimes some OS files, as well as drivers, can get out of date and trigger issues with performance or program procedures.
