How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced technical support :

When an error occurs in printing such as the machine is out of paper or paper is jammed, a troubleshooting message is displayed automatically. Take the appropriate action described in the message. When an error occurs, the Alarm lamp flashes orange and a Support Code (error number) is displayed on the computer screen.
so here we can see it`s blinking three times and it stops and it blinks three times again now this error only comes when there is a paper jam or there is any issue with the paper. so here we can see that the paper is not going through properly. now we have to go and check on the back of the printer.
There are two indicator lights on the printer: the Status light and the Charging light. Each indicator light shows the status of the printer as described below. Status indicator light: A blue or green light indicates the printer is operating correctly, while red indicates an error has occurred. Indicator light color.
The blinking power light indicates that the unit has a cartridge problem. There could be several reasons for this: 1. Incorrect, defective or swapped cartridges.
Ink may have run out (The lamp on the ink tank flashes). If printing is in progress, you are recommended to stop printing, replace the ink tank, and then print again.
– ON lamp flashes green: The machine is getting ready to print, or printing is in progress. – Alarm lamp flashes orange: An error has occurred and the machine is not ready to print.
The yellow triangle on the printer is the alarm lamp of the printer; if it is lit, it indicates that there is an item that needs to be addressed on the printer.
E > 3 > 2 appears

This screen appears when WPS setup was not completed within a certain time. For details on checking the wireless router settings, see the router manual or contact its manufacturer.

Support Code 6900 means that there is a problem with the wireless network adapter in the printer and that service maybe required.
Ink may have run out (The lamp on the ink tank flashes). If printing is in progress, you are recommended to stop printing, replace the ink tank, and then print again.
Canon Printer`s orange light flashing 4 times is because the Ink Tank installation is incorrect or the Ink runs out. To fix this, you need to install the ink tank appropriately or replace the ink tank with a new one.
One or both printhead icons, Error icon, and Printhead Alert light blink. This condition occurs when one or both of the ink printheads needs attention or is faulty, incorrect, missing, damaged, or incompatible.
One blink per second means that the power supply is off, or in cold redundancy. Cold redundancy means one power supply is in an efficient low-power state, and it is not activated until it is needed. Two blinks per second means that the power supply is updating its firmware.
A `Paper has Jammed` message and light blinks

Remove any ejected paper from the front or back of the printer. Open the paper tray cover. Remove any loose photo paper from the paper tray, and then check for and remove any bent, wrinkled, or torn paper.

If you`re using a laptop, a solid or flashing orange light often indicates the battery is charging.
Replace low, empty or faulty ink cartridges on the printer. Prints that appear more green are commonly caused by an absence of magenta ink/toner being put to paper by your printer.
Meaning: the paper exit tray is closed / Paper jam. Solution: the paper is jammed. Remove the jammed paper, replace the paper correctly in the printer, and then press the Resume / Cancel button. Meaning: the tank cartridge is not correctly installed or has run out.
Paper Is Jammed inside the Machine

Remove the paper on the front tray if any.

Canon printer error: “Error e02”

Error code e02 occurs due to overheating of the printhead or when the paper is not correctly placed into the input tray and therefore the paper feed rollers are unable to pick up the paper from the paper tray.

Err 01: The communication between the camera and lens is faulty.
Error code E04 means that the FINE cartridge in your printer is not installed correctly. To remove the cartridges you will need to push the output tray back in before opening the cover. Once cartridges have been removed they can be re-install them by firmly pushing them back in until they click into place.
Error 99. Try the lens on a different camera, or try using a different lens on your Canon camera. This way you will know if the lens is causing the problem. If the lens is the problem, first attempt to fix it with step #2 and if that doesn`t work, you will need to send the lens to the lens manufacturer for repair.
I recommend performing a reset of the printer. While the printer is on, unplug the power cord from the printer and let it sit for 60 seconds. While the power is off, press the power button 5 times. After 60 seconds plug the power cord back in and power on the printer.

Canon BJC-70 error message F 12
ANSWER : I am having the same problem, not only with my BJC-70, but also the equivalent problem with my BJC-80. Typically I am working at my computer, and the printer is powered up, but idle. All of a sudden for no apparent reason, it emits a series of beeps and returns the print head to the central position. The BJC-70 display Error F12. With the BJC80 you have to count the beeps. The problem seems to be caused by some sort of premature failure of the print head, due to an electronic fault. Sometimes, if the printer is powered down for a few minutes or longer, it will work normally for a short time after power is re-applied, but typically the problem recurs within 30 minutes, and this period of trouble free operation gradually reduces, until the print head will not work at all. The only solution is to replace the offending print head. You should, however, retain the failed head, in order to salvage any un-used ink remaining in the tanks. The new print head comes with full ink tanks. As soon as one of these fails, I replace it with an ink tank retrieved from the failed head. I don’t discard the failed head until both ink tanks have been retrieved.
