Check1 Make sure that the printer is turned on. Check2 Make sure that the Wi-Fi lamp is lit on the front side of the printer. If the Wi-Fi lamp is off, Wireless LAN is inactive. To activate Wireless LAN, press and hold the RESUME/CANCEL button, then release the button when the POWER lamp flashes white 10 times.
Printers show up under “unspecified” when Windows cannot associate an appropriate driver. Reference this article to find drivers for your Brady printer: How to Find Windows Printer Drivers for Your Brady Printer. If you have recently installed the driver, simply rebooting your PC can resolve the unspecified status.
Check Cables and Printer USB Ports

Check all cable connections (including the power cord) on the printer side. If the printer does have power and you`ve properly connected the communication cable, but the printer is still not recognized, try switching to a different USB port on the PC.

The printer driver may not be installed correctly. Uninstall and re-install the printer driver. Make sure that there is a direct connection between the printer and USB port of the computer. Reboot the computer with the printer`s USB cable unattached and reconnect the cable once the computer has restarted.
To choose a default printer: Select Start > Settings . Go to Devices > Printers & scanners > select a printer > Manage. Then select Set as default.
Click Start on your computer, then select Devices and Printers. Right-click on the printer`s icon that did not install correctly, then select Troubleshoot. After you confirm that the printer driver for the device you want to use is not installed, select Apply this fix.
Press Win + X to open the WinX menu. Click on Device Manager from the context menu. In Device Manager, click on View and select Show hidden devices. Next, expand the Printers section to view your printer.
Make sure printer is turned on. Press and hold Wi-Fi button and release it when POWER lamp flashes 3 times. Make sure POWER lamp changed from flashing to lit.
Make sure that both ends of the USB cable are correctly inserted into the computer and the printer. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable at both ends. Disconnect the printer and the computer and reconnect them. Try another USB port if available.

Canon BJC-70 error message F 12
ANSWER : I am having the same problem, not only with my BJC-70, but also the equivalent problem with my BJC-80. Typically I am working at my computer, and the printer is powered up, but idle. All of a sudden for no apparent reason, it emits a series of beeps and returns the print head to the central position. The BJC-70 display Error F12. With the BJC80 you have to count the beeps. The problem seems to be caused by some sort of premature failure of the print head, due to an electronic fault. Sometimes, if the printer is powered down for a few minutes or longer, it will work normally for a short time after power is re-applied, but typically the problem recurs within 30 minutes, and this period of trouble free operation gradually reduces, until the print head will not work at all. The only solution is to replace the offending print head. You should, however, retain the failed head, in order to salvage any un-used ink remaining in the tanks. The new print head comes with full ink tanks. As soon as one of these fails, I replace it with an ink tank retrieved from the failed head. I don’t discard the failed head until both ink tanks have been retrieved.
