Check1 Make sure that the printer is turned on. Check2 Make sure that the Wi-Fi lamp is lit on the front side of the printer. If the Wi-Fi lamp is off, Wireless LAN is inactive. The easiest way to connect the Canon printer to the computer is via a USB cable. It`s the traditional method of connecting devices. One end of the USB remains connected to the printer, and the other must be connected to the computer`s USB port.
Check cables or wireless connection

Make sure that the printer`s USB cable is properly connected from the printer to your PC. If your USB isn`t recognized, see Automatically diagnose and fix Windows USB problems. Check the wireless connection (for wireless printers).

If the setup detects the printer and then switches to not detected, it will usually mean that the computer is not reading the device properly. In this situation, you can go in to devicemanager and then you can try right clicking and uninstalling any connections for the printer.
Press down on the cartridge gently for several seconds. The LED light on the chip resetter will flash several times, indicating that contact has been made with the chip. Continue holding the cartridge in place until the LED light emits a steady light.
Verify the ink cartridge(s) is inserted properly. Some cartridges snap in place, and if they are not inserted fully, the printer won`t print anything. If a lever is moved from its original position to allow for installation of ink cartridges, ensure it is returned to its original position.
An incompatible driver or corrupt file may be the reason you experience the Driver Unavailable error. Luckily, this is easy to fix if you take a methodical approach. All you need to do is check for any Windows updates and then install the latest driver for your printer.
