They do come as part of maintenance kits in HP series printers. Transfer rollers really don’t wear out. Worst that happens is they get toner on them. Their function is to charge the back of the paper and pull the toner down on it. That being said, you probably will have a host of other issues. Any drum wiper blade will have deteriorated necessitating replacement of the drums. The fuser assy. will probably have suffered damage to the pressure roller from sitting in the same position without rotation for 8 years. Depending on storage conditions, the toners might have suffered as well. In my opinion, it will cost you more to fix it than replace it. ANSWER : The 8870 I had which had a 97,721.00 error ended up being a split\cracked gear on the shaft that engages the maintenance kit, the :9875 is the printer page count. You can try to rehome the process drive but I would check and see if there is a split gear (where it mounts on shaft) first because the shaft will spin but the gear won’t engage if it’s cracked or split so it throws an error.

ANSWER : Sometimes turning off and on will allow you to print a few pages. The error is a beam detect error. The only real fix is to replace the laser scanner unit. Could be a loose connector on the scanner or DC controller from the scanner. That’s unlikely. You could try the only other free fix which is to open the scanner assy. and clean all the mirrors inside. The dust could obstruct the laser beam enough to cause the detect error.

Error Message 4F on MFC 210C
ANSWER : Basically this kind of error caused by loss of voltage on print head. If this is the case then I suggest to buy a new printer rather than replace print head. Print head might be too costly.
