Make sure your paper meets the specifications for your product. If paper dust builds up on the rollers, they may lose traction and become unable to feed paper properly. Clean the paper guide. If roll paper does not feed, cut the end straight across and uncurl it by rolling it backward, if necessary.
While holding down the Pause button, turn on the printer. The printer enters the bidirectional adjustment mode and then prints instructions and the first set of alignment patterns. As described in the instructions, compare the alignment patterns and select the pattern with the best alignment.
To find the printhead settings, go to “Settings > Printer > Manage Printer”. If you have multiple printer profiles, choose the one you want to update, then click “Machine Settings”.
Right-click the printer icon on your taskbar (in the lower right corner of your screen0 and select Head Cleaning. Follow the on-screen instructions. The processing light will flash while the printer performs the cleaning cycle.
Click Print Quality Tools, and then select Align or Align Printheads. If prompted by the software or printer control panel to scan the Alignment Page, follow the instructions on the page to complete the alignment.
Your printer can become misaligned if there is any paper stuck in the machine, print cartridges are clogged or dirty, improper installation of cartridges and using low quality cartridges. Additionally, a printer can become misaligned after the machine completes a large print job.
Paper is improperly loaded
If you have loaded the paper too far into the printer, the printer cannot feed the paper correctly. Turn the printer off and gently remove the paper. Then turn the printer on and reload the paper correctly.
Select > Paper Setting > paper source > Print Adjustments > Paper Feed Adjust. Select one of the following: Auto: automatically adjusts the paper feed setting (takes 9 to 35 minutes to complete); Epson recommends running this option first.
Print head alignment corrects the installation positions of the print head and improves deviated colors and lines.
If your printouts are slanted, try these solutions: Slide the edge guides against the edges of the paper. Select a higher print quality setting in your printer software. Align the print head.
The product prints a nozzle check pattern. Check the printed pattern to see if there are gaps in the lines. If there are no gaps, the print head is clean and you can continue printing. If there are gaps or the pattern is faint, clean the print head.
Do not perform any other operations until the printer completes the printing of the print head alignment pattern. This takes about 6 minutes. If the automatic adjustment of the print head position has failed, the Alarm lamp flashes. Refer to “Eleven flashes:” of [ Alarm Lamp Flashes Orange ].
Print head alignment corrects the installation positions of the print head and improves deviated colors and lines. This machine supports two head alignment methods: automatic head alignment and manual head alignment. Normally, the machine is set for automatic head alignment.
Check the Margin settings under File>Page Setup to make sure that the right margin is OK. Also check the paragraph format to make sure that you do not have a negative right indent which could be causing the text to extend into an area that is unprintable by your printer.

Canon i255 printer head error
ANSWER : Sometimes the print head issues are brought on not by a flawed print head but rather by a “gunky” stopping station. The stopping station is the spot where the print head “rests” when it is not printing. Generally it’s on the right half of the printer (taking a gander at the printer from the front). The stopping station has elastic seals that should encompass the print head when it’s stopped.

ANSWER : This video shows how to remove the heads. Ignore his methods of cleaning them as they are really stupid. Best way to clean the heads is to run hot tap water into the screens and then flip it over and run the hot water on the heads. Repeat a few times until the water runs clear. Then dry it thoroughly with a paper towel and reinstall.
