A low ink/toner density setting
Your default setting could be set to low, causing you to get those faint prints. If your printer does have ink/toner density settings, you should be able to find them once you`ve clicked on your printer in `Devices & Printers.
The most common reason for getting faded prints is having empty or defective toner cartridges. It is unbelievably frequent that people forget to replace their empty toner cartridges and struggle to figure out why their printers print faintly. Another common reason is that people use defective cartridges.
Check the ink levels
Sometimes, the printer may not print black ink because it is low or empty. You can check the ink levels on the printer`s display, or by using the software that came with your printer. If the ink level is low, replace the cartridge or refill it according to the manufacturer`s instructions.
The ink is running low. Prepare a new ink cartridge.
Open a document to print on the computer, and display the setting screen of the printer driver from the print menu in the application. Click [Print Quality:Standard] of the [Detailed Settings] tab. Select [Advanced Settings] in “Adjust Image Quality/Color”, and then click [Details…].
To address issues with faint printing, increase the darkness setting on your printer. You can also reduce print speed to further resolve the problem. There is likely not enough heat applied to the ribbon to efficiently transfer the ink to the label, especially if you are using a resin ribbon.
Check the toner darkness settings.
Sometimes light print can be remedied by simply changing the toner darkness setting in the printer. To change the setting, go to MENU>>SETTINGS>>QUALITY MENU>>TONER DARKNESS. Increase the darkness and send a test print to see if that fixes the issue.
“Printer properties” or “Properties” may be displayed, depending on the application. Display the [Quality] sheet of the print settings screen. On the [Quality] sheet, click [Advanced Settings]. In the [Advanced Settings] dialog box, select [List of Settings] [Toner Density] [Adjust] → click [Details].

The optimum quality speed setting is typically among the speed setting options in the speed adjustment control menu on the printer. Increase the print speed to reduce color saturation when images and graphics bleed and warp from over saturation.
When color ink is expended and black ink still remains, you can continue printing for a short time using only black ink. However, you should replace the expended ink cartridge(s) as soon as possible.
How is black ink made? The base ingredient of printer ink is usually oil, water, or heavy petroleum distillate used as the solvent. This is then combined with pigments to create an ink that is designed to dry by evaporation. Black ink is created through a combination of carbon black and varnish.
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
The power light is on or flashing. The ink light is flashing. Ink in a cartridge is low. You can continue printing, or check which cartridge is low and replace it.
The Power light blinks at a steady interval when the printer is processing a print job. If the Power light blinks fast, the ink cartridge door might be open, or the printer might be in an error state. If an error message displays on the computer screen, follow the on-screen messages to resolve the issue.
The most common order to print wet on wet is light to dark. Meaning the lightest color is first on press after the white base, then print the next lightest color all the way to the darkest color.
Direct thermal printing technology uses heat-sensitive paper (also called thermal labels or thermal paper ) instead of thermal ribbon for printing. As a result, direct thermal printers can only print in black and white.
If you`re printing too hot (with any filament, not just PLA) you`re going to see stringing and blobs/oozing because the material is getting runny and exiting the nozzle in an uncontrolled manner. Because it`s uncontrolled, you will also likely see artifacts showing up in your prints.
If you print in mostly black, your black cartridge will naturally run out faster than the color cartridges. However, some printers will pull a bit of ink from the color cartridges when you are printing solely in black, just to keep them primed for future use.

On top of this, factors such as sunlight, friction and improper care of your tattoos can all accelerate the process of aging your skin and/or fading your tattoos.

If you regularly go a few weeks without printing, your cartridges will eventually dry out and need to be replaced.
