How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced technical support :

If the cartridge is in the wrong position the tube will fill with the wrong color. To resolve this issue you will need to clean the print head. NOTE: It may require 10 to 15 cleanings to clean the ink tubes and print head. During the cleaning process, the ink in the cartridge(s) will be consumed.
Prints that appear more green are commonly caused by an absence of magenta ink/toner being put to paper by your printer. In addition to your prints looking “greener” you may also notice yellow and blue areas appear almost neon due to the the magenta not being able to give them more realistic tones.
The printhead could be clogged, and you might need to clean the printhead several times to restore print quality. Use an automated tool from the printer control panel to clean the printhead.
The ink cartridges may be old or low on ink, and you may need to replace them. Your printed colors can never exactly match your on-screen colors. However, you can use a color management system to get as close as possible. Try using the color management options in your printer software.
First, go to your TV`s settings menu and desaturate its color settings until it gets to black and white. Calibrate the contrasts and brightness so that both the whites are blacks are distinct. Turn the sharpness level to the highest point, then down—then added color.
Your printer may be printing pink as the other ink cartridges have run out. Common printer-to-page technology processes colour in four parts; cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK), or toner. The ink cartridges in your inkjet or colour laser printer are split up into four colours.
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
Gray text and images will typically print with the color cartridge rather then the black cartridge. Your magenta color is running low, resulting in the print appearing green (cyan and yellow) rather than gray (cyan, magenta and yellow).
Neon and fluorescent colors are outside the printable color gamut and, therefore, cannot be reproduced.
It`s often best to avoid using certain pairs of colors together, namely black and brown. While they may be printed correctly, the combination will be hard to scan, resulting in poor performance.
RGB colors that are output as CMYK colors are pulled to the nearest CMYK equivalent which is always darker. The reason why the printer output doesn`t match the screen is because light can`t be printed.
When it comes to RGB vs. CMYK, what`s the difference? Both of these color modes mix colors to create different color possibilities. The main difference is what they are generally used for in design: RGB is the color mode best for digital designs and CMYK is best for printing.
RGB is used in electronic devices, like computer monitors, while printing uses CMYK. When RGB is converted to CMYK, colors can look muted. Designers were often disappointed when their printed piece looked different than what they had been seeing on screen.
Color correcting unifies your footage.

The goal of this technical process is also to match the colors between each of your video clips so they are unified. During color correction, you can tweak things like exposure, contrast, and white balance and ensure that important hues like skin tones are accurately represented.

Why is your printer printing pink? Your printer may be printing pink as the other ink cartridges have run out. Common printer-to-page technology processes colour in four parts; cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK), or toner. The ink cartridges in your inkjet or colour laser printer are split up into four colours.
An error in the cartridges, the heads clogged by dry ink, a very low level in your consumables, a bad connection between the computer and the printer, a damaged cable, a jam in the print queue…, there are many reasons why your Brother printer may stop printing or print poorly even though you have not jumped the ink …

My 2550n Color LaserJet does not want to print in color
ANSWER : That model had issues with the carousel solenoid sticking. That might explain why it works after you let it sit for 10 minutes. The solenoid gets hotter with use which causes the deteriorated foam on it to become sticky and hold down the release plate instead of letting it go. This allows the carousel to spin when it is supposed to stop for each color. The solenoid is located on the right side of the printer. If you open the lid, it is just behind the opening at the top right. You need to remove the top of the printer and scrape off the goo on top of the solenoid body. I put a piece of thin sticky backed felt to replace it. Other people use electrical tape.

Brother MFC-9400CN Print Unable 2A FIX
ANSWER : I had that same problem, I have a MFC-9840CDW also. I went in and removed the three components Toner Tray, Transfer belt, and waste toner box. First thing no one mentioned is that you cannot just put your toner tray down when you take it out. Look at the bottom, those are light sensitive drums on the bottom. I put mine on its side with the bottom away from light and then covered it with a small black clean trash bag. Nothing touching the bottom, and protected from light. Also the transfer belt should not be placed down on the actual belt. The belt is basically the width of the unit and very delicate. same thing, on its side and covered with a clean bag. away from kids, dogs, cats, hamsters etc…lol. The waste toner box is safe to put on your desk.
