You can change the default tray your Brother machine uses for printing copies by following these steps: Press MENU and choose General Setup => Tray Use => Copy. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select a setting. You can select Tray #1 Only, Tray #2 Only, MP Only, MP>T1>T2, or T1>T2>MP.
Pull the paper tray completely out of the machine as shown by the arrow. Rest the tray on a flat surface. Push the green slider to the left and then extend the tray until it locks into place. Gently press and slide the paper width guides (1) and then the paper length guide (2) to fit the paper size.
Install the Additional Paper Tray

Switch the printer off, disconnect the power and data cables. Remove the tape and packing material from the additional tray. Locate the additional tray connector and alignment pins. Place the printer on top of the optional tray, aligning the printer`s feet with the tray`s pins.

Extra trays are generally used for types of paper that are need regularly such as letter head or larger paper sizes.
Improve printer performance by selecting the optimum paper type for the tray. You can select from the following paper types: Tray 1. [Thin Paper], [Thick Paper 1], [Thick Paper 2], [Plain Paper], [Recycled Paper], [Color Paper], [Preprinted], [Prepunched], [Letterhead], [Bond Paper], [Cardstock], [Label Paper]
Use the MP Tray for special print media, such as photo paper or envelopes. If the [Check Paper] setting is set to [On] and you set the paper in MP tray, a message appears on the LCD asking if you want to change the paper type and paper size.

This spot should be away from windows, doors, vents, or frequent foot traffic. The ideal place is cool and dry with temperatures that do not fluctuate.
Molly. Antique printers trays were used exactly as the name states – a tray for printers. Long ago, varied letterpress letters would be placed in the small compartments for typesetting. The trays are fairly easy to find at reasonable prices, though some sellers will recognize their increasing appeal and mark them up.
The input tray is the tray on the printer that serves as the paper source. The output bin is a bin on the printer where printed jobs are delivered.
Paper is housed in the printer`s paper tray, and most trays can be found along the bottom of the printer. There is usually a small notch on the face of the tray that pulls out so you can insert the paper.
Dual tray. means that the printer has two trays. You can use one tray for legal and the other for letter sized paper. Title companies prefer dual tray. It is more professional and means that you don`t need to use special software to sort out the different sizes of paper using a single tray.
Rear feed printers

A rear feeding printer can be between a rear feed inkjet printer which would feed in multiple pages from an upright tray at the back of the printer or a laser printer with a speciality media feed such as a bypass tray.

Load the paper into the paper tray before sending the data to the printer. When the printer receives data from the computer, it feeds a single sheet and begins to print.
Tray 1 is the small slot in the front for manually feeding paper. The paper cassette which holds the paper and slides out is called tray 2.

Bundle of Paper

The modern standard for a bundle of writing paper is 1,000 sheets. These 1,000 sheets can be made up of either 40 quires or two reams. As with quires and reams, these measurements do occasionally vary depending on the type of paper. (For example, poster-size paper may sell in bundles of 1,032 sheets.)

Those rollers are really hard to replace. It would be easy if that dumbass secondary menu really worked. None of the techs I’ve spoke to ever got into it. Everyone I know sends a print job and listens for the roller to rotate into position where you can pull it off.
