How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Point the nozzle upward so that the ink will not be spilled, and then remove the nozzle from the ink tank. If some ink remains in the bottle, tighten the cap securely onto the ink bottle, and store the ink bottle on a level surface in a cool, dark place. Push down to tighten the cap securely onto the ink tank.
Remove the cap tip of the ink bottle. Make sure that the color of the ink tank cap matches the ink color you want to refill. Insert the nozzle of the ink bottle firmly so that the ink will not be spilled. Refill the ink by squeezing the middle of the bottle gently as shown.
Turn on the printer and wait for it to recognize the cartridge. Remove the additional cartridge before printing an alignment page. Turn on the printer and wait for it to print the setup page. Insert the refilled cartridge and turn on the printer.
The message “Ink Low” will be displayed on the machine`s display of the Brother machine if the amount of remaining ink in one or more of the ink tanks is low. This error message may appear if the ink dot counter is incorrect even if a lot of ink remains.
If the remaining ink level is at or below the lower line (2) under the minimum fill mark, refill the ink tank. The ink below the lower line is necessary to prevent air from drying out and damaging the print head assembly. Refill the ink tank when the remaining ink level is at or below the lower line.
Printer damage – Refilling cartridges without taking professional help can increase the risk of causing permanent damage to your printer. It could either leak or clog your print head. And while refilling cartridges, if you break your printer by any chance, it could also void your printer warranty.
A refilled cartridge will deliver the exact same printed quality as the original for a fraction of the price. Despite reports to the contrary, using a refillable ink in a printer does not void your consumer warranty.
Until the print head wears out you can continue to recycle your empty cartridges. Generally, you can expect to refill your empty OEM cartridge between 2-6 times.
We recommend using genuine Brother supplies to ensure stable print quality and performance. Although not all non-genuine supplies may cause quality issues, using non-Brother supplies or refilling ink cartridges with third party ink, may adversely affect print quality or cause the machine to malfunction.
The most common reason a refilled ink cartridge does not work is that you didn`t reinstall the cartridge properly. Check the cartridge and make sure it is not dislodged or misaligned. If there is no visible sign of misinstallation, remove the cartridge and reinstall it.
When you fill a cartridge, the ink sometimes doesn`t make it all the way to the bottom of the reservoir. Fix this problem by removing the cartridge and injecting more ink into the sponge through the exit hole. Air bubbles also can get trapped inside the cartridge, blocking ink flow.
As the name suggests, ink cartridges use liquid ink to create images and text on printed pages. Whereas toner cartridges use powder, which is heated to create printed documents. Much like the quality of petrol you put in your car, the ink and toner you use in your printer will help it run better for longer.
The message “Ink Low” will be displayed on the machine`s display of the Brother machine if the amount of remaining ink in one or more of the ink tanks is low. This error message may appear if the ink dot counter is incorrect even if a lot of ink remains.
There are chips inside the original cartridges to record how many pages were printed and they cannot be reset. As a result the printer reads the chips and tells you that the cartridges are empty, even though they are not. This is why you are getting the “ink low” message even though the ink tank is at full capacity.
