The network connection between your computer and the wireless router may be unavailable or set up incorrectly. If you replaced your wireless router or access point, or changed its settings, reconnect your Brother machine to the new wireless router or access point. >
If your printer`s status displays “Printer in error state,” there may be a problem with the printer itself. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your PC by Wi-Fi or cable. Check it for low paper or ink, and be sure the cover isn`t open and the paper isn`t jammed.
1: Check Printer Power, Cables, and Paper

Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.

Do a hard reset on your printer. To do this you just need to turn off your printer, unplug for a few minutes and then plug the printer again. If that still doesn`t work, try turning the printer and your computer off, and then start it back up again. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling your printer driver.
The error code 30 and the error message “Unable to Print” indicate that the printer is not able to print due to a mechanical malfunction. Another possible reason for this error to occur is an object getting stuck in the machine, for example a paper clip or a piece of paper.
The message “Unable to Print 3B” will appear on the display for one of the following reasons: i. A foreign object, such as a paper clip or ripped piece of paper, is stuck in the machine; ii. Mechanical malfunction.
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
Error 4F unable to print is a message related to the print head and specifically means that your print head has either an electrical fault or that it has a temperature error.
Most of the time, people are getting the blank page from their brother printer due to the ink cartridge issue, so you need to assure that your printer has enough ink to print a text on the paper, if it doesn`t have enough ink, you may replace the ink cartridge as well.
If blank horizontal lines are printed on the labels or the print is not very clear, the print head or head roller may need to be cleaned. Follow the steps below to clean the print head and head roller: Clean the print head with the self-cleaning function.

BROTHER MFC 490CW/ MFC 210C
ANSWER : The industry says that at least once a month you should print something, even a test print page to avoid the ink drying up in the print heads. Most printers including Brother will turn themselves on occasionally to clean themselves. I do not recommend refilling your ink cartridges yourself. You can buy ‘non-OEM compatible refilled’ ink cartridges for you printers very cheaply but not all that make/sell these are of the same quality. So if this is of interest to you then you need to shop around until you find a good & reputable compatible non-OEM ink seller.

Brother MFC-9400CN Print Unable 2A FIX
ANSWER : I had that same problem, I have a MFC-9840CDW also. I went in and removed the three components Toner Tray, Transfer belt, and waste toner box. First thing no one mentioned is that you cannot just put your toner tray down when you take it out. Look at the bottom, those are light sensitive drums on the bottom. I put mine on its side with the bottom away from light and then covered it with a small black clean trash bag. Nothing touching the bottom, and protected from light. Also the transfer belt should not be placed down on the actual belt. The belt is basically the width of the unit and very delicate. same thing, on its side and covered with a clean bag. away from kids, dogs, cats, hamsters etc…lol. The waste toner box is safe to put on your desk.
