How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

This issue is usually caused by foreign material inside the machine (paper dust, glue from labels or envelopes, paper clips, staples, etc.) sticking to or damaging the surface of the drum. This is typically resolved by cleaning and/or replacing the drum unit.
A common cause of faded, faint printouts from your inkjet printer is dried ink particles causing a blockage in your printer. The printheads on an ink cartridge can be become blocked if the printer is not used for a period of time, so it is recommended to print a few pages each month to maintain the print quality.
Generally speaking, a visible vertical line down your page after printing is an indication that the image drum in the machine may be damaged. It could also mean that the machine is reaching the end of its life.
“Lines on a Copy” is caused by debris on the scanner glass. Debris can range from dust, wite-out, or ink. If the scanner glass appears clean, use the bad copy to help you find where the scanner glass is dirty.
These types of lines are typically caused by dirt or white out (correction fluid) on the scanner unit, or one of the corona wires for printing is dirty. This problem is usually resolved by cleaning the scanner glass, scanner glass strip and white plastic bar with a soft lint-free cloth, or cleaning the corona wires.
Unfortunately, there is no way to restore faded ink to its original state. Some chemicals are advertised to darken original inks, but they are often damaging to paper and conservators do not recommend them.
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
Streaks on your print jobs are a result of your copier glass being dirty. “Dirt” is created by fingerprints, dust, and other forms collected through usage. Often this will be detected by your device before streaks begin to appear, and a display will read that the glass needs to be cleaned.
Typically, this issue is caused by wet ink or some other substance transferred from a piece of paper as it goes through the ADF. The ink or other substance gets on the glass as the paper moves through, and blocks the light of the scanner in that area for future copies.
Vertical lines go up and down and have a slope that is undefined. Graphs of horizontal lines are parallel to the x-axis. Graphs of vertical lines are parallel to the y-axis.
| – bar: The vertical bar is used in mathematics as a sign of absolute value, in prosodical studies to mark a caesura, and in propositional calculus (where it is called Sheffer`s stroke) as a sign of nonconjunction.
According to scientists, horizontal stripes can make you look thinner. This is because they seem to fill space more than vertical stripes do. BUT on the contrary, vertical stripes can elongate your figure and make you look taller.
