Your Brother machine only supports connecting to the 2.4 GHz wireless band. The Brother machine will not “see” or connect to the 5 GHz band of your router. – Most dual band routers, will allow devices to communicate between the 2.4 GHz band and the 5 GHz band.
When the WiFi light is on, your Brother machine is connected to a wireless access point. When the WiFi light blinks, the wireless connection is down, or your machine is in the process of connecting to a wireless access point.
The WPS button simplifies the connection process
Press the WPS button on your router to turn on the discovery of new devices. Then, go to your device and select the network you want to connect to. The device is automatically connected to the wireless network without having to enter the network password.
