It is a rotating belt that is typically large which carries the mixture of different colors of toner particles. The cartridges will then precisely apply each toner layer to the belt which will then apply the combined layers uniformly onto the paper. You might need the belt unit to be replaced after some time of use.
If the LCD shows “Belt End Soon”, it means the belt unit is near the end of its life. Buy a new belt unit and have it ready before you get a “Replace Belt” message.
A belt unit transfers the toner image onto paper. The belt unit is located under the black, yellow, magenta and cyan image drums. The following figure shows an image drum being pulled out by grabbing the black toner cartridge (1).
The Brother machine will display a `Replace Drum` or `Drum Stop` message when the machine has printed approximately 15,000 pages. The drums should be replaced as a set in order to maintain print quality.
What is the drum unit? The drum unit transfers the toner to the paper. The laser printer puts the toner on the roller called “The photosensitive drum” inside the drum unit, and then prints letters and images by fixing toner to the paper by heat and pressure.
The belt unit is a consumable item that requires periodic replacement. After you have printed approximately 50,000 pages (letter or A4 size paper), the message “Replace Belt” will appear on the LCD display. NOTE:The actual number of printed pages will vary depending on the print jobs and paper you use.

Another important moving part inside of the printer is this carriage and the belt that is used to move the carriage back and forth across the paper. We usually will put all of our ink cartridges right into the carriage. We lift up the cover the printer. The carriage is where we would place those ink cartridges.
Belt or Overall Prints consist of printing the garment, mostly t-shirts, to achieve the look of having 100% coverage, with artwork that prints over the seams, sometimes including the collar, the sleeves, the hem or all of the above. Water-based ink is used in this process for a soft-to-the-touch feel.

Cannot remove toner/drum unit
ANSWER : I don’t know how they manage to stuff like that. The front lid lifts the drum/toner unit up on each side. I imagine what is happening is that the left side isn’t lifting and you’re trying to slide it out crookedly. Try lifting it by the handle so that both sides are up all the way and then pull it out.
