Hold down Go button while turning on power switch. Keep Go button pressed down until only Toner, Drum and Paper LED indicator lights are lit up. Then, release Go button. Wait until Toner, Drum and Paper LED indicator lights turn off.
Our fusers include a tiny “fusable link” that “burns itself out” during the 1st power-on. Basically all you must do is install a replacement fuser from us, then turn on your printer, and the power-on process will automatically reset the page count for you.
After changing a DR3100 drum unit in a Brother HL-5240, the printer`s page count needs to be reset. This will turn off the drum warning light on the printer. Simply open the front cover, and hold the “GO” button until all four LED`s are lit. Release the “GO” button and close the front cover.
Streaking, smudging, black lines, and double images are all symptoms of a bad fuser. When you notice these printing defects and experience problems, such as paper jams or wrinkles, this is a good sign to replace the fuser kit.
[Settings]>[All Settings]>[Initial Setup]>[Reset]. to display the type of reset functions, and then press the reset function you want to use. The LCD displays [Machine will reboot after resetting. Press [OK] for 2 seconds to confirm.].

ANSWER : I have a MFC-9325cw. I had the fuser and PF kit replaced but the person who replaced it did not reset the life counters for these parts. Brother was NO HELP whatsoever! what does it take to fix this printer?
ANSWER : If you push the Go and Cancel buttons at the same time it will give you the secondary error lights. That tells you what component has failed. Probably the fuser.

ANSWER : Not knowing if the drum is OEM or remanufactured or if it is way expired, only thing I can suggest is looking at it. Take the toner out and turn it manually with your thumbs on the gear. The drum should be clean all the way around.
