Printer Blocked. Issue: This indicates the printer is unable to print due to a blockage. This may mean the paper roll was installed incorrectly or the paper lid is not in the proper place.
These blockages are caused by dry ink; you can usually clear off the blockages by running the printer`s self-cleaning utility. To clear more severe blockages, you can manually clean the ink cartridges and lines by wiping them with isopropyl alcohol or soaking the print head in water.
Like with most printers, Canon printheads can clog due to ink or dust drying up and collecting in the nozzle. A simple printhead cleaning can often get your printer running again (without having to replace your cartridges!) and in this quick guide, we show you how to do it.
Block printing is the process of printing patterns by means of engraved wooden blocks. It is the earliest, simplest and slowest of all methods of textile printing. Block printing by hand is a slow process. It is, however, capable of yielding highly artistic results, some of which are unobtainable by any other method.
One of the problems with an inkjet printer is that the cartridges can clog up. This can happen if the nozzle has dried-up ink, from infrequent use, or if it contains air bubbles, which can form after changing cartridges.
The temperature of the nozzle plays a big role in preventing clogs, as too high of a temperature can cause some filament to harden and clog the nozzle. Make sure you are using the recommended temperature settings for your printer and the type of filament you are using to ensure the best results.
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
If the printer is wireless, the router`s built-in firewall may be blocking the printer`s IP address as an unrecognized device; you may need to temporarily disable the firewall in order to register or add the address to the router`s trusted device list, also known as a whitelist.
The destination port for the printer hardware is always reflected in the Port number (PORT) parameter in the printer device description, so that can be a good place to look. The most common destination ports are 2501, 5001, 9100, 9101, 9102, and 9600; however, some printers could use other ports.
Printer blocked message typically appear when there is a possible out of paper, paper jam or door open error.
Warm water can often loosen ink that has dried on the nozzles. Other times you`ll need Windex, or some other ammonia-based solvent, for a deeper cleaning.
If there is plenty of ink and the printer does not print, clean the Print Head then print the nozzle check pattern to ensure ink is ejected properly. If the problem is not resolved after performing Print Head Cleaning twice, carry out the Print Head Deep Cleaning.
While some portable printers can be powered through USB ports or by batteries, the most common power source remains a standard 110-volt wall outlet, to which the printer connects via a power brick and cord.
Take a warm damp paper towel or coffee filter and blot the cartridge with the printhead facing down onto the paper towel. This will remove any dried ink on the printhead. Then, hold the cartridge with the printhead facing down against a dry paper towel for 2-3 minutes. A dry paper towel will wick the ink out.
While formulated to possess the working properties of oil-based inks (permanence, tack, etc.), Speedball`s Fabric Block Printing Inks are easily cleaned up with soap and water.
After a lot of use, your inkjet printer`s printhead nozzles may become blocked with dried ink. The first thing you can do is initiate a cleaning cycle and add drops of 91% isopropyl alcohol if needed. If the steps above does not work, you may need to manually clean the printhead out of the printer.
Inkjet Printers Can Have Low Print Quality

Don`t get us wrong—inkjet printers actually usually shine in the print-quality department in comparison to their laser companions. Where they may have trouble is print text-rich documents, especially if the ink is running low or the print heads are clogged.

If you`ve noticed blemishes, imperfections or marks on recent print jobs, don`t fret as the problem is unlikely to be a mechanical one. Like most electronic hardware in the home or office, inkjet printers require regular maintenance to keep them in tip-top condition and working at their best.
A print head scratch occurs when an accumulation of dust or debris gets stuck in your machine. And if this happens, the damage cannot be fixed. In most cases, you would need to purchase a new printhead. That`s why it`s important to keep the dust out, away from your machine.
Insufficient or lack of airflow can cause problems with your printhead from clogs to dried ink and more. The air nozzles can become blocked in the same way your printhead itself can, from dust, lint, or ink.
But for this specific issue, where the printer is reporting a paper jam even though no paper seems to be jammed, I`ve found that 90% of the time there`s one thing to blame: the guides on the paper tray. Any time your printer halts because of a paper jam, check the tray that holds the paper.

Router Issues
