Check1 Make sure that the printer is turned on. Check2 Make sure that the Wi-Fi lamp is lit on the front side of the printer. If the Wi-Fi lamp is off, Wireless LAN is inactive. To activate Wireless LAN, press and hold the RESUME/CANCEL button, then release the button when the POWER lamp flashes white 10 times.
Check your device if Airplane mode is on and put it off. Then, do the connection with the printer again. Your smartphone`s Android version isn`t supported. Canon printers may not support Wi-Fi connections with phones running an Android OS version below 4.1.
Check cables or wireless connection
Make sure that the printer`s USB cable is properly connected from the printer to your PC. If your USB isn`t recognized, see Automatically diagnose and fix Windows USB problems. Check the wireless connection (for wireless printers).
Check all cable connections (including the power cord) on the printer side. If the printer does have power and you`ve properly connected the communication cable, but the printer is still not recognized, try switching to a different USB port on the PC.
The easiest way to connect the Canon printer to the computer is via a USB cable. It`s the traditional method of connecting devices. One end of the USB remains connected to the printer, and the other must be connected to the computer`s USB port.
Restart the printer and the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions. Restore Wi-Fi setup mode. Most printers with a touchscreen display or menu: Open the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings.
Pairing Smartphone and Printer
Tap More. Tap Bluetooth Setup. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair the smartphone and the printer. If using an Android smartphone, once pairing is complete, you can print or scan from the app.
With the printer powered on, select Setup . Select Device settings . Scroll to the bottom of the menu list and select Reset settings.
– The printer driver may not be installed correctly. Uninstall and re-install the printer driver. Make sure that there is a direct connection between the printer and USB port of the computer. Reboot the computer with the printer`s USB cable unattached and reconnect the cable once the computer has restarted.
Make sure that both ends of the USB cable are correctly inserted into the computer and the printer. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable at both ends. Disconnect the printer and the computer and reconnect them. Try another USB port if available.

I just took apart my MP530 which produces the 6A00 error, and cleand the wiping pads, rubber blades and everything I could reach from the purge unit. I also cleaned the print head. The waste ink level in the EEPROM is 66%.

Canon Pixma MX870, Error 6000 and Service Manual
Brand new MX922. Printed a couple of pics and now the 6000 error. Can’t see any obstruction. Could you provide the manual for dismantling the unit further? Or pointers for getting further into the box than just looking through the little folding inkwell door?

Canon PIXMA MP 210
Mine was grabbing the paper from the right side only (where the roller is), sucking the paper in partway and then going sideways and jamming. I cleaned off the roller to no avail. Then I picked the printer up and looked in the paper slot and found a small screwdriver lying sideways so deep you almost couldn’t see it. I got that out and now it works fine!
