How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

In the majority of cases, printers` self-cleaning mechanisms clean blocked printer heads by flushing the nozzles with air. The air works to dislodge dry ink inside the cartridge channels and also push it out. The intensity of the self-cleaning process of printers is usually not very strong.
Automatic print head cleaning

The cleaning function is included in the software of almost every printer. Usually, you can find it under the “printer maintenance” section of your printer`s display menu. Automatic print head cleaning usually takes only one or two minutes, so you won`t need to wait for too long.

The printer will start cleaning the print head and the processing light will begin flashing. Print head cleaning takes about thirty seconds to complete.
Cleans the paper feed rollers. Perform feed roller cleaning when there are paper particles sticking to the paper feed rollers and paper is not fed properly.
The print head cleaning function allows you to clear up clogged print head nozzle. Perform print head cleaning if printing is faint or a specific color fails to print, even though there is enough ink.
Print head cleaning consumes some ink. To avoid wasting ink, clean the print head only if print quality declines; for example, if the printout is blurry or the color is incorrect or missing.
If you`re experiencing poor print quality (banded / streaked prints, incorrect colors, blank pages, etc.) and standard print headcleanings and deep cleanings don`t resolve the problem, an ink flush may improve the print quality.
Otherwise use a printer head cleaning solution recipe of 50% water and 50% rubbing alcohol. We also like a homemade printhead cleaning solution that is 8-parts Windex to 2-parts rubbing alcohol. This printer head cleaning fluid works like a charm and it`s cheap to make!
Tip #1: Run print head cleaning cycles. Quite often, running several print head cleaning cycles will unclog a nozzle, when perhaps one or two cycles will not. Run up to five cycles in sequence. Print a nozzle check pattern after every one or two cleaning cycles to see if you have made any progress.
Look for the contact points on the print carriage inside the printer and gently wipe them off using a lint-free cloth. Make sure there isn`t any ink left on the printer contacts. Just as on the ink cartridges, if you are having difficulty removing the excess ink, use a cotton swab and mineral water until it is clean.
About 1.1ml ink is consumed for one print head by one normal cleaning. About 0.6ml ink is consumed for one color when put purge button for 4 seconds. About 1.1ml ink is consumed for one print head by one normal cleaning.
A standard Print Head Cleaning cycle is done by clicking `Cleaning` on the Maintenance tab, then waiting a little bit until a message comes up; confirm it and click `Print Check Pattern. ` From this you can then tell what sort of Deep Clean you need to do by which lines (black or colour) are faded.
The Sensor cleaning function does not clean the camera, it simply allows you access to the sensor in order to clean it. You must activate the Sensor cleaning function before commencing any dry cleaning or wet cleaning procedures. It is very important to make sure that the battery is fully charged beforehand.
The auto sensor cleaning function is barely effective, especially compared to manual methods. A filtered blower, or even dry compressed air works, as long as they don`t introduce any moisture to the camera.
Dirt or dust entering the camera when lenses are exchanged or the body cap is removed may adhere to the image sensor and affect your photographs. The Clean image sensor option vibrates the sensor to remove dust. Clean now.
Remove stains from the inside of the printer. If the inside of the printer becomes dirty, printed paper may get dirty, so we recommend performing cleaning regularly.
The brush and roller cleaner uses spinning action to thoroughly clean your paint applicators. After brush or roller has been rinsed with warm water or mineral spirits, simply clamp in place and use spinning action to clean the applicator. This is a quick and easy way to prolong the life of your paint applicators.
Use Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) cleaning solution to clean printer exterior effectively and safely to avoid any printer damage.
Applications. Generally, all inks need to be cleaned up with some sort of oil-based solvent. This could be as mild as vegetable oil or vegetable shortening, or as harsh as an acetone or lacquer thinner.
Take a cotton towel or rag and dampen it with rubbing alcohol. Blot the ink from the outside inward once again to loosen the ink particles from the fibers in your carpet. If this isn`t breaking up the stain, try using hydrogen peroxide.
Dried Ink Buildup on the Printhead

If the print cleaning cycle doesn`t work, dried ink may be the culprit. Take the printhead out and wipe the nozzles clean to remove any buildup. Depending on the model of your printer, this may be difficult—some printheads are harder to remove than others.

incompatible ink cartridge message
ANSWER : Pretty much nothing else you can do except try another new cartridge. I had 2 identical HP printers once in the shop. One of them didn’t like one of the cartridges. I swapped it over with the other printers cartridge and it was happy. So was the other printer. Swapped the cartridges back and it didn’t like it again. How do you explain that? You don’t.
