After replacing the waste ink pad, you`ll need to reset the waste ink counter to clear the “waste ink pad full” error message. To do this, you`ll need to enter your printer`s service mode and run a waste ink pad counter reset utility.
If an error message appears indicating the printer`s ink pads are nearing the end of their service life, contact Epson support to replace them. The message will be displayed at regular intervals until the ink pads are replaced.
There are a number of porous pads in the printer that collect, distribute, and contain ink that is not used on printed pages. Ink is collected by these pads during the initial setup of the product, during cleaning cycles, and when printing borderless photographs.
If any ink remains in the ink bottle after filling the ink tank, place the bottle cap tip securely on the bottle cap and store the ink bottle upright for later use. Replace the ink tank cap securely. Repeat the previous steps as necessary for each ink tank you need to refill. Close the ink tank unit cover.
This is usually caused by a non-flow of ink from the cartridge through the print head. In the case of an ink cartridge with an integrated printed head, take a warm damp cloth and gently wipe it across the print head until you see a flow of ink on the tissue or cloth.

Epson 2400 waste ink tank full?
ANSWER : The “waste tank” is actually just a foam sponge cut to fit space under the print head travel. If you’re careful you can get it out with a pair of long ! tweezers, rinse it in water and dry it. It may come out in pieces…assemble them as a template to make a new one or try to buy a new one on- line. Before putting it back in clean the whole region under the head travel as best you can with plenty of paper towels. This is a messy job, so prevention will save a lot of cleanup. Good luck.

ANSWER : Hi, You may have by now (Feb.2016 ) solved your problem, if not I have just used to code to reset my copy counter but as yet have not replaced the surplus ink pad tanks, what I am going to do is install an external surplus ink tank to bypass the pads as I am a bit nervous of taking my printer apart, Go to ebay and type in “RX600 surplus external ink tank” cost is well worth it, Happyhammer 20.02.16
