If a toner cartridge lacks a chip, it just means that the cartridge will be unable to communicate with the rest of the printer directly. Generally speaking, only third-party manufacturers make toner cartridges that lack a sensor chip.
If you disable your printer`s memory chip from collecting your printer usage information, you can continue using your printer even if the toner or ink is finished. So you want to inspect your printer`s ink level at interval by removing it to avoid your ink running out!
With a black and white page yield of approximately 190 pages, the HP 61 black ink delivers incredible print quality with every document and photo.

Printing on 10% = 240 pages. Printing on 20% = 120 pages. Printing on 40% = 60 pages. Printing on 80% = 30 pages.
You can do this by removing the plastic tabs securing the chip to the cartridge. Use a sharp, thin tool to do this, such as a Swiss army knife or utility knife. Slide the blade of the knife under one of the plastic tabs. Gently pry up.

HP® takes toner seriously

HP Q2612A 12A works flawlessly with laser printing technology so you can depend on every printout to be as perfect as the last. The black and white page yield is approximately 2,000 pages with this toner cartridge so you can enjoy premium results without the hassle of constant replacements.

Calculating Cost per Page

The math behind it is pretty simple, just divide the cartridge page yield by the cost of the printer cartridge. If we continue with our HP 64XL black ink cartridge example, we divide $41.99 by 600, giving us a cost per page of 6.9 cents.

A high yield ink cartridge has a larger ink chamber than its equivalent standard ink cartridge. Although both contain a microchip and print head, the larger ink chamber stores more ink, so the cartridge can print more pages than a standard cartridge.
5% coverage means that after A4 paper is printed, the area of the paper covered by toner or ink is 5% (black), 15% coverage (color, that is, red, yellow) , blue these three colors, each color reaches 5% coverage). So, 5% coverage means that after printing, the area of the entire paper covered by toner is 5%.
An average ink cartridge will be able to print anywhere from 120 to 220 pages before needing to be replaced. This cost can add up. You should know the expected lifetime of your printer if you expect the ink cartridge and page yield to be higher.
The average ink cartridge will hold 0.7 to 1.2ml of ink, with short cartridges of 0.7ml being the most common. The average converter will hold between 0.6ml and 1ml of ink, with 0.8ml being the most common. The average piston filler fountain pen holds 1.2 to 2.5ml of ink.
According to PCMag, a standard ink cartridge will print an average of 220 pages, (with 11 ml of ink). A high capacity cartridge prints an average of 350 pages, (its tank holds 16 ml of ink).
These cartridges use thick ink that is good for printing documents and photographs at home. A single cartridge can print nearly 300 to 400 pages. These printers can print on all types of pages including high-gloss pages, and even fabrics.
