ZPL is a print language used by many label printers. A print language is a set of commands that can be used to draw elements like text, shapes, barcodes and images, combine these elements, and finally print them.

Zebra Programming Language (ZPL) is the command language used by all ZPL compatible printers. It is a command based language used by the printers as instructions to create the images printed on the labels. Print shipping label sizes

One of the most common shipping label sizes is 4×6 inches, which is 10×15 in centimetres. This size is ideal for containing all of your shipping information on it.

The standard label format for inkjet printers is a horizontal letter (PDF) on 8.5×11 inch paper. On this paper, you can print a maximum of two labels per page (each label takes up half a page). Labels printed via thermal label printer are usually in a vertical 4×6 inches format.

A ZPL file is the printer format for Zebra Printers. It is a small file with markup telling the printer how to visualize a label. It`s basically just a text file containing instructions (ZPL programming language).

Description The ^FB command allows you to print text into a defined block type format. rotation specified for the text string. The ^FB command also contains an automatic word-wrap function. If the value is less than font width or not specified, text does not print.

Basically 4×6 paper size is used when printing labels with thermal printers. Unlike normal desktop printers using normal A4 papers, thermal printers are using heat-sensitive sticker paper which is faster in printing and allows you to stick the label on the package directly.

To find the correct label size: Measure the entire circumference of the labeling surface with a flexible tape measure. If a tape measure isn`t handy, simply wind a piece of paper around the labeling surface and mark the spot where it overlaps; then, measure from the edge of the paper to your mark with a ruler.

Measure the bottom face of the bottle from one side to the other with a flat ruler. This is your bottle diameter. Multiply the diameter by pi (3.14), and the resulting number is your circumference. This is the width of your label.

A typical barcode measures 1.469 inches wide by 1.02 inches high, but you can adjust the size as necessary as long as you stay between the following minimum and maximum recommended barcode sizes.
