Plug the USB cable into the printer. Plug the other end of the USB cable into the computer. You might need to configure certain network parameters on the product. You can configure these parameters from the control panel, the embedded Web server, or for most networks, from the HP Web Jetadmin software.
Requirements: Operating System – Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10.
On average, inkjet printers consume between 30-50 watts of electricity when in use, while in standby mode, they use 3 to 5 watts. It is recommended to turn off the printer when not in use or to use power-saving modes or automatic shut-off timers.
The average Printers uses 250 watts. Your devices wattage may be different depending on the brand, size, or other factors. You can generally find the wattage of your Printers in the user manual or on the device itself.
Your printer should have been packaged with a USB cable regardless of whether it is a wireless or wired printer. Plug the cable into your printer and your computer`s USB port. The direct linking should trigger your computer to recognize the printer and start up the software needed to complete the installation.
A good rule of thumb: if your printer is more than seven years old, you may want to start pricing new units. In this case, even a relatively inexpensive component is not worth the investment.
Save time, money, and paper when you use HP`s two-sided printing accessory. The accessory prints both sides of the page automatically, so you can concentrate on more important work. You`ll see budget savings because paper consumption is cut in half.
The average lifespan of a printer is around 3-5 years. With proper upkeep and maintenance, some printers can last longer, but eventually your machine will need an upgrade.
These questions and their answers will determine whether to use a 12 Volt or 24 Volt printer. Typically, 24 Volt are used when “regular” power is available.
Laser Printers
Regarding this printer type`s energy cost, a laser printer uses more power than an inkjet printer. Some commercial laser printer models use up to 1000 watts, with 300 to 500 watts being the average.
An average ink-jet which is designed for home use will typically use 30 to 50 watts when it is printing, in standby mode most printers will draw around 3 to 5 watts of power. Commercial printers which are used in an office will draw 30 to 50 watts on standby and 300 to 500 watts when printing.
To track printer usage, perform the following steps: Click Start → Administrative Tools → Active Directory Users and Computers. Click the Active Directory container of the OU or Domain that you want to manage. Right-click that container, and then click Properties.
Epson inkjet printers use less power, saving energy.
However, with the popularity of smartphones, tablets, and Wi-Fi, newer printers can connect to your wireless network and be used without a computer. For these printers to be used, they require a Wi-Fi network to communicate with other devices.
Go for it — there`s no crime against putting a printer or other items on top of your tower, and it`s hard to organize your space productively in a cramped office work space. That said, it`s important not to damage your hardware while trying to optimize space.
For healthier print heads and more efficient ink consumption, however, it`s better to leave your printer on. Constantly switching your printer off and on will decrease your printer`s lifespan, so try to keep the off/on to a minimum.

The process is more elaborate than the inkjet printing process and results in higher efficiency, better print quality, and faster print speeds. A laser printer can pump out up to 100 pages per minute, while an inkjet reaches max speed at only 16 pages per minute.

Laserjet 4250 print quality issue (see image)
ANSWER : It looks like a fuser problem. One way to prove it is with the half-stop test. Put a sheet in the drop down manual feed tray. Send a print job and watch the paper. When the end of it is about to enter the printer, open the lid and take out the toner cartridge. Look at the printed image. If it looks OK, then it is a fuser problem. If not, then it is a toner cartridge issue since it hasn’t gone through the fuser.

error code 13.06.00 "jam inside rear door"
ANSWER : If it’s jamming in the rear door, why are you blaming the feed rollers. Try opening the rear door and see if it still jams exiting through the back. If so, then it’s probably the fixing film in the fuser assy. is not sliding around the heater because of dried up lubrication. You would need to replace the fuser assy.

Error Message
ANSWER : Are you sure that is SO2? HPs don’t give a code like that, maybe 50.2? which is a fuser error and replacing the fuser usually clears that if that is the code you’re getting.
