The Fuser operates in the temperature range of 175 – 215o C (347-419o F). Temperature will vary depending on the type of media selected.
Requirements: Operating System – Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10. Browser – Google Chrome 10+, Internet Explorer (IE)10.0+, and Firefox 3.6.
The HP LaserJet Fuser helps make sure your HP toner is applied to your paper evenly and with vivid color and detail on every page without putting a major dent in your budget. It lets you print up to 150,000 pages of dynamic quality before you need to replace it.
The message `Fuser Error` or `Self-Diagnostic` means either the fuser has reached the maximum temperature allowed or there has been an error in detection of the correct temperature during specific times of the printing process.
This feature is accessed from Machine Status > Tools > Setup & Adjustment > Custom Paper Settings. Select the desired Custom Paper > Change Settings > Adjust Fuser Temperature > Change Settings.
The LaserJet 6P and 6MP were introduced October 1996. They included infrared technology, for wireless printing.
If your printer is compatible with Windows 10, download and run the Print and Scan Doctor to detect and fix isses. If problems persist, reinstall the latest HP printing software. Download and Install the latest HP printer software and driver.
The fuser unit or fuser is a critical part of any laser printer. Using pressure and heat, it fuses the toner powder onto the page to create a print, and without it, the printer cannot operate.
The message “Fuser Kit Low” or “Fuser Kit Very Low” on your HP Color LaserJet M553 series printer is a warning that you have reached the recommended number of prints for your fuser assembly. (The fuser assembly is the consumable part in your printer which heats up and bonds toner to the paper.
The fuser unit must be replaced every 100,000 pages, usually along with the transfer belt and feed rollers as part of a maintenance kit. The error code 010-351 indicates that the fuser has reached 100,000 pages and should be replaced immediately. The printer will not operate until the fuser unit is replaced.
The fuser unit is a heated roller that melts the toner particles onto the page as it passes through. This seals the toner to the page so it`s no longer in powder form and makes sure that the toner doesn`t smudge of fall off the paper when it comes out of the printer.
The temperature at which the toner fuses to the paper varies with the toner formula, but generally speaking, at a temperature of approximately 110°C (230°F) the toner is melting, and by 130°C (266°F) the toner has become as liquid as it will ever be.

140°C, material 2 at 230°C – with 200 W laser power, one can therefore cut material 1 faster than material 2, as the energy doesn`t have to be applied for as long to material 1 as to material 2. Consequently it can be said that a laser beam itself has no temperature.
The fuser therefore must maintain heat temperature that range from between 180 to as much as 210 degrees Fahrenheit. The formulation of toner particles should likewise meet the required melting properties and temperature range to be an effective vehicle for laser printing.

Hp laserjet 2420dn
ANSWER : I would suspect the fixing film has wear. You can prove the theory by doing a half-stop test. This stops the print before it enters the fixing film assembly. Load paper in the drop down MF tray in the front. Send a print job and when the tail end starts to enter, open the cartridge lid on top to stop it. Then remove the toner cartridge and look at the paper. If you see the marks, it is from the toner cartridge. If you don’t, it would be coming from the fixing film since the paper hasn’t entered it.
